Since the first time I visited Dubai back in 2008, till my most recent visit this summer, as well as while living in Dubai from 2009 to 2012, I've visited what we like to call "The Iraqi" very frequently. Although service has gotten worse over the years, the food has been excellent every single time. At the Iraqi I got... More

All sorts of Arabic and iraqi cuisine. Prices a little hefty but worth it. A must to go especially for first time visitors but keep in mind it is usually a big meal!

Went for Iftar with the family, the place was very crowded and the tables very close to each other. They have buffet during Ramadan and the food was decent but I have had better else where. The layout for the Iftar buffet is not very organized so you end up waiting inline for a while.

The menu is a mix of Iraqi and other Arabic dishes. Portions are generous and ideal for sharing. We had tasty dishes of lamb, chicken and prawns that the maître assisted us in selecting. Service is attentive and quick but could be perceived as somewhat sour. We got the impression that staff are unhappy for some reason. Prices are reasonable.

The Jumeirah branch is sooooo bad, the service is terrible, and the waiters are very rude, though the food was fair, but after you lost the taste with the impolite staff. They need to learn how to serve people. I have to say, Deira branch is different, where everything is good.

For a European it was quite surprising to have the whole bunch of everything before we even orderd anything, it was the restaurant's complementary snacks, and we were full by the time our order was served :) Food was delicious, as well as the service just impeccable!
