Rich, sumptuous flavours, unparalleled taste and texture, and a truly remarkable setting.Al Mahara, 'The Oyster Shell' in Arabic, doesn’t just tantalise your palate; it’s a dining experience that will stimulate all your senses. The stunning floor to ceiling aquarium inside the restaurant sets the scene for a meal where only the best will do. Sink into the soft seats and be mesmerised by the world of colourful sea life swimming beside your table, while our team of award-winning chefs prepare you something very special.Attention to detail is something we particularly pride ourselves on at Al Mahara. Our selection of fine wines perfectly compliment the mouth-watering seafood, and you’ll enjoy only the freshest, most delicious ingredients in each and every one of our dishes.

The worlds only 7 star restaurant or is it?

The sheer luxury and opulence of the Burj Al Arab is undeniable, from the sports car laden car park entrance, to the reception area that features dancing water jets and huge upright aquariums the place is simply jaw dropping stunning. The entrance to the Al Mahara is no different, from its very own... read more

We just had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant. It all started with the warm welcome of our super nice waiter Paul who took care of us in a very personal though very professional way during the whole evening. The food is excellent with the freshest products and carefully prepared. The whole atmosphere is really unique; decent, elegant but still... More

Very bad experience. We had one of the menus with a fixed price and the first they serve you is a glass of champagne that is billed extra at nearly the same price as the whole menú without warning you. Good start. Then they kept all the lunch trying to serve you wine, of course also to be billed extra... More

As you walk in, you are surrounded by water and colorful fish swimming around you. The soothing blue lighting makes you feel you are truly dining under water. A definite 5 stars for atmosphere. The specialty is seafood and it is excellent. We had the multi-course tasting menu and every dish was beautifully presented and perfectly prepared. The only negative... More

The Al Mahara restaurant is in the Burj Al Arab Hotel. There is eye candy every way you look leading up the escalator 1 floor only to check in and take a private elevator down 1 floor into the restaurant. As we were led to our table we walked thru a short gold tunnel which showcases a first view of... More

You go to the restaurant by a gold elevator, the setting is romantic and magnificent due to the big aquarium. The service was extraordinary; staffs are very polite and knowledgeable about the menu although the food is very good but not a michelin-star-kind-of-thing. I think you pay not just for the food alone but for its name and experience as... More

What can I say I doesn't said before? Dubai have all, and of course all of the Best, including of course the world's 7stars hotel: Burj Al Arab, home of the famous restaurant Al Mahara. With a seafood speciality Al Mahara without a doubt is a must to do in your stay in Dubai. I strongly recommend the Wild Bass!... More

We don't mind spending money on a nice meal at a nice restaurant. Al Mahara is definitely in a nice environment, set in a "7 star" hotel. When security stops your taxi and requests your reservation, you'll feel very special. You'll then come up to the opulent foyer of the Burj al Arab hotel. To get to the restaurant you... More
