Quality food in a stunning setting.

The finest quality seafood is served in ways that are both familiar and at the same time unique to Al Mahara. It's expensive but the restaurant lives up to the expectations that creates. The setting of the private dining room was stunning, the fish in the tanks alongside and no other diners was lovely for our group. The downside was that the table was so large and deep that the group intimacy was a little lost. The vegetarian food was sadly very lacklustre. My fellow diners were having fish dishes and assured me their... More

You expect greatness when you book a restaurant situated in one of the most exclusive hotels in the world. We start by concluding: greatness was delivered. The obvious draw of this place is perhaps it being a gigantic cylindrical aquarium. We had requested a table right next to the aquarium, opting for the closes view of their 2000+fishes in 50+... There are more sheikhs here than you could shake a stick at. An entire menu page is devoted to caviar (£430 for 30 grams). Wine glasses are a foot tall, almost as long as the bills. I ask the young French chef, “Why all the gold leaf?” He says, “Customers expect it. I’d like to cook more simply.”

Sitting in a large, round floor-to-ceiling aquarium with exotic fish, it is a plush yet tranquil setting and very unique. Al Mahara is a must-see of the Burj Al Arab

UAE become a modern country with western influence but for people who like to see deeper than luxury standards and to discover traditional exotics sides of the country you are visiting I will definitely recommending to visit Burj al Arab. From inside hotel didn’t reach our expectation for the first minutes we entered. Old-fashion design with screaming mismatching colors of... More

I understand that dining at a "seven star" hotel warrants high prices but to be honest there was nothing really seven star about the hotel itself and the decor of the lobby ( that is all you get to see if you make a $300usd lunch reservation at the al mahara for 2 ppl 2 courses) was pretty tacky and... What a fantastic evening! Dining in the aquarium style setting where a shark swims by during dinner is just unforgettable! The staff were fun, engaging, knowledgable and really completed our over experience. Of course this is a pricy evening, we spent £600 for 2 including wine, it was a once in a lifetime dinner!

well probably one of the most expensive restaurants you will ever go to, but was really spectacular event to eat there. Service was very nice and not overbearing at all. Very spectacular building to visit and to wander around a bit. Dinner was delicious and the surrounding aquarium was really fun. So if you want to spend a fortune but... More
