Good Mexican restaurant

Good location in the middle of JBR, sunny design, a lot of healthy options. I ordered soup and chicken tacos. Very big portions, soup was wonderful, but chicken was spicy for me. Great thanks to Lady, she was so attentive and offered me another one without sauce. She safe my lunch. Looking forward... read more

Everything about our meal here could be best described as just ok. Food was ok / staff ok, children running around and being allowed to stand on tables was not acceptable in my view (not the restaurants fault). I wouldn't return.

On our way to Seychelles islands we had two nights in Dubai to break a long flight. Stayed in The walk area and strolling by we found this mexican restaurant that I'd already spotted on TA. It's not so usual to eat mexican in Italy while both I and my wife love it, so we gave it a try. It... More

Chose this place randomly for lunch after day on the beach and liked it. Service was friendly (our waiter was John) and fast, and dishes were tasty. Fajitas were sizzling and had plenty of stuffings. Extra points for the free re-fills to our drinks!

Located on the JBR walk, only a couple of minutes off the beach front with very friendly and hospitable Hispanic staff... On ordering we were quoted 6-8 mins for our starters and 15-20 mins after we finished our starters for our mains, and they were spot on with their timings. Our starter (sharing platter) was nice, and the soft drinks... More

El Chico located on JBR was buzzing on a Thursday night. Rustic interiors, walls covered with authentic Mexican items and colorful lights guided us to sit inside (on a side note also made me want to go to Mexico). Pouring over the vast menu we were conflicted, we were thrilled with the helpful waitress’s recommendations. We started off with top... More

Went there with a colleague. Had the mozzarella sticks as starter, which apparently had been sitting a while in the kitchen, waiting for the waiter to be delivered to the guest. As a result, they were not really warm and the cheese itself had a weird consistency. Main food had been rejected as the beef was everything else but tender.... More

Good quality Tex-Mex food a stones throw away from the Marina Beach, we shared a main course as a quick afternoon snack together with frozen margarita and ice cold beer, non-alcoholic of course! Service was excellent

We visited with our varied family group. Aged between 4 years and 83 yrs. There was something for everyone and 6 empty plates. The service was great and nothing was too much trouble for our waitress. The food was presented quickly and fresh. We will go again. Our first restaurant on jbr. We will expect the others to meet at... More

Staying in The Marina

Neighborhood Profile
The Marina
It’s hard to believe that only a decade ago there was no marina. Opened in 2003, the man-made marina runs along a 3km stretch of shoreline. A heady mix of luxurious hotels, apartment buildings, and cafes, the marina hosts regular community events and markets, and is a wonderful place to while away an afternoon or evening. Spectacular at night when the skyscrapers glisten, here you can enjoy dinner on the beach next to the sea, or visit a high-rise bar in a hotel for a magnificent view across the Gulf and the man-made Palm Island, with the world-famous Atlantis Hotel at its end. The Walk at Jumeirah beach Residences is a pedestrianized stretch leading to a new development: The Beach. It’s one of the few places where Gulf nationals mix with tourists and Western ex-pats. It’s a popular place to show off your supercar for an evening, so watch out for Lamborghinis, Maseratis, and Ferraris in abundance.
