cozy pub

we don't really go here for great food but to chill out and have a good time with friends. the good thing about this bar is it's not too crowded and noisy, and since it is a pub, it is frequented by older gentlemen of different nationalities which is better than hanging out in a bar with rowdy and... read more

We dropped in for a quick drink here, like most themed pubs it was pretty empty in the day and no atmosphere but it was nice enough. We didn't eat but the food had a normal english pub selection, pizza, pasta, burgers etc. Happy hour offers you 20% your drinks and is between 12pm-8pm but at £9 a drink its... More

On a short stay in Dubai while staying at the Arabian Courtyard Hotel, we stopped in to this rather dark and smoky pub for a end of day drink. The ambience was OK with a wide selection of beers, reasonable prices , good service but too much smoke to tarry too long over drinks.

The menu had a good choice of food and it was open till late so it was ideal for us as we had arrived late at the hotel, the food was good but the pub was very dark and noisy, difficult to have a conversation and smoking was allowed, which as non-smokers wasn't very pleasant.

A great place, one of ma favorites from about 8-10 years in Dubai. Good english pub, with good food and drink options. It is a little difficult to reach during heavy traffic situations as the location is in the midst of the crowded Meena Bazaar in Dubai. Overall a good place, but have to say the service is not up... We only ate here once and were pretty disappointed with the quality of the food. We ordered meals that (according to the menu) came with garlic mash and we were asked by the waiter if we wanted garlic with the mash...not sure if he was new but it was a strange question. The cigarette smoke is quite off putting too,... More

Dim surroundings, nice atmosphere, good selection of beers. We gave a slight minus for the menu, since only some of the food was available before 19.00. After that the selection would have been wider, but being hungry we had found another place before that.

Had a beer here one night while staying at the adjoining hotel Arabian Courtyard. The staff was great and friendly. They have a nice beer and liquor selection. I never looked at wine though. They do have a menu but I also didn't look at this either. The place has a sports pub feel to it. There are TV's with... More

The ambience of the place is lovely and I am a bit partial but I loved the place more than I imagine and can't talk negative about it.

Staying in The Creek

Neighborhood Profile
The Creek
The smell of frankincense hangs thick and heavy in the air, waves lap gently at jetties, and market traders call to passing tourists. The creek, originally the place where pearl boats docked and left on missions to uncover jewels from the deep, is where the city really began. The Al Fahidi District on the Creekside is one of the oldest heritage sites in Dubai, easily recognizable with its iconic wind towers, the original air conditioning. Home to the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding and the Dubai Museum, the old buildings also house a range of cafes, shops and art galleries. Often called “the real Dubai,” this is a wonderful place to lose yourself before catching an abra across the creek to the spice souk, where your senses will be overwhelmed with tastes, smells, and sounds.
