Terrible!!! We had visited Okku for the Friday brunch. As soon as we walked in the service we had found was lacking - we had to keep reminding them of our drinks orders and food was very delayed. We received our first meal an hour and a half after arriving. They were very aggressive when it came to the end... More

As a Japanese person, I was quite socked by the poor standard of the food after having read so many good reviews about this restaurant. Perhaps it is a trendy place to be for a drink at night but unfortunately this is another one of many Japanese restaurants for people who don't know what the real Japanese food is like.

99 AED for business lunch seemed a good idea. However... serving the miso soup (not good quality) together with the Edamame as a starter is so weird and un-Japanese that it does not bode well. The calamari starter and especially the Wasabi Shimejii were ok. The black cod was well cooked but it was served with a sweetish (!) sauce... More

Food is amazing there. All types of seafood and sushi was beyond praise. I just didn't like the limit of free space between tables and inside the restaurant.

Sunday night is the best with Dj set house music until 2am! Food very good, to try the avocado with flame, black cod , duck salad and chili seabass! Very good sushi also! It's better to make a reservation, especially on Sundays. Good service. One of the best Japanese in Dubai for sure !!!

Their business lunch menu is 99dhs valid on weekdays which is pretty good considering on offer is: 1. Edamame- standard 2. Miso soup- good not too salty 3. Cold dish selection- went for the salmon sashimi with bell peppers which are finely chopped. This dish had a unique flavour and unlike other salmon sashimi that I have had before. Was... More

One of our favourite Japanese places in Dubai. There are other places but we love the food here. The cod and the egg plant are to die for and the wagu beef and the foi gras sushi is yumm.
