Get a table outside

Great Thai food, make sure you book a table outside so you can watch the fountains while you eat. One of the places in this area that you can drink too.

We chose The Mango Tree as it's a favourite of my friend's sister who lives in Dubai. So after doing the Mall and the Burj Khalifa this is where we three came to eat and watch the fountains. We ate on the terrace and enjoyed shared starters and and selected delicious spicy beef, chicken and prawn dishes we each shared.... More

Whilst the location was great for watching the fountains we were somewhat let down by the quality of food and the somewhat indifferent service. The food was not particulary authentic, in fact having asked for "medium spicy" for my main course, this turned out to be no spice at all, leaving me with a particularly bland meal. This is a... Mango Tree is a pleasing quality Thai restaurant. With exceptional views of the entertainment from the Dubai Fountain, provided a talking point for visitors that were visiting UAE. We ordered a mixture of vegetarian starters and fish starters. Our guest was complimentary of the fish scallop and papaya salad. The vegetarian options were of good standard, especially the pomodoro salad... More

We visited Mango Tree this evening for dinner after a recommendation from a work mate. I booked the table a few weeks ago to ensure we sat on the terrace to watch the dancing fountain show and the Burj Khalifa. We had a tremendous seat. The only point I would make is that the restaurant is very dark and we... More

We visited on a Sunday night as per our hotel's recommendation. Our hotel had booked a table on the terrace for us in the evening so as to get a view of the fountain show. The food was amazing, as was the service and the atmosphere was made all the better with the fountain shows! Highly recommend.

Great thai food. Has a very peculiar taste and I have not had such great food before. The servers were very nice in helping to decide between the options available.

We were taken by friends who had been last year who said it was a must. Absolutely agree! Perfect location to watch the fountains. We had booked a few weeks before going out to dubai to make sure we got a table outside on the balcony. Food was lovely. Asian/Thai. Medium spicy was more than enough (you get a choice... More

Visiting Dubai recommended for great food and ideal spot for watching the dancing fountains - did not disappoint. Food fabulous and staff very accommodating let us have a table at short notice. I must for a future visit.

My husband and I travelled to Dubai and visited this Restaurant when we had the wine pairing menu. Would highly recommend this menu as the food and wine were second to none. The views of the fountains were amazing.

Staying in Downtown Dubai

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.
