We both had the Aussie Burger, wasnt the best burger we ate in asia and wasnt the worst, something in the middle... the portion wasnt very big, a small/medium burger and some fries for 65000kip. i know luang prabang is totally overpriced, so its ok for this area. 3 points are good i guess. the waiters were very nice! but... We decided to pop into the Aussie sports bar to have a drink since we live in Vietnam and wanted a touch of home. Although I don't believe there were actually any Aussie customers the night we went the beer was cold and good and the food was substantial. I could hardly eat my portion. I would have liked a... Food and service is nice but, in my opinion, the restaurant is bit overpriced (paying 6,5 euros for a meat pie is way too much!!)

Thankyou for your review and we are pleased that you found the food and service to be "nice". In respect to our pricing you did not mention that the pie comes with a generous serve of home made chips and a fresh garden salad which makes the dish at 65,000 kip good value and reasonably priced for the area. Perhaps... More

Part of our recent journey through Asia was spent at the Aussie Sports Bar and Guesthouse. We found our hosts John and Jenny were both fantastic and down to earth. We felt very much at home. We were taken on very relaxed tours, taken for games of golf, had cooking lessons arranged and generally made feel at home for very... More

Absolutely nothing bad to say about this place - just fantastic! I stayed 6 nights next door in the new guesthouse, and ate here everyday. I started to made my way through the menu, starting off with my favourite, a huge serving of succulent Chicken Parmigiana with lots of melted mozarella - great! Top Aussie Meat pie, Bacon Cheese burger... More

When we saw there was an Aussie bar in town, we thought we'd avoid it like the plague as we'd prefer not to hang out with a bunch of yahoo Aussies whilst on holiday. But, we found ourselves searching for cold beer, the beer in Luang Prabang can be warm! So we gritted our teeth and went to the Aussie... More

During my trip in Laos, I happened to hear that there's a good place for Westerners in Luang Prabang and it's called something Aussie. That's why I decided to check it out via online-booking and it turned out that it really lives up to its reputation. Not only the food was very good but also the bed was comfy at... More

We were here about five times for breakfast, or drinks or to watch the Aussie footy. The staff were very good and we were made to feel very comfortable here.
