Just walked in and tried to order breakfast. Greeted with a scowl by this mean man and when I asked to replace a muffin on a set menu, he told me I could have something else that was SMALL. He walked to the counter, shaking his head and came back with an even meaner frown. I walked away. There are... More

It still is the best place to get your fix of European breads. I always come here and to its Vientiene branch.

This very authentic place has an old colonial feel, with fantastic pastries and excellent coffees. The croissant, pain au chocolat and baguettes are incredible. Great way to start the day in this heavenly relaxing town. Went here repeatedly for 7 days.

Yes this is a haven where we could retreat at midday. Good Lao food but we decided on salad which had feta on slices of aubergine and an assortment of dips. Our friend chose a pancake with lemon and sugar which she said was perfect and we all enjoyed the refreshing and mercifully unsweetened lemon tea.

An institution in Luang Prabang, the "French Bakery" has been serving home made croissants, pan-au-chocolate, baguettes and bread to the local community, tourists and catering establishments for years. Perfectly baked, in the classical French way, this is truly a taste of Europe, or of the long lamented colonial days of Indochina. Go there for a slow, relaxing breakfast ..... then... More

Nice place to have a cup of coffee and a pastry in the afternoon. Good for people watching too. As the road has limited traffic, it is not too noisy.

After reading the reviews, I went here specifically to try a crossant. What I received was a dry cold piece of bread that may have been delicious 8 hours ago (I went here at 2pm). I asked for jam due to the bread being terribly dry and when I went to pay only then did I discover the jam was... More

Best croissants we have found in Asia - crispy, buttery - perfect! As croissant addicts, we were in heaven! Unfortunately this was let down by the staff who were unsmiling and miserable to the point of rudeness.

Visited this cafe which was close to our hotel. Had salad and panini for lunch. Refreshing and very nice. The staff were friendly and made sure we are okay. I like this cafe, good for a quick, simple nice meal. I would have loved to try the pastries, they look really good.
