Best bakery in town!

I stayed in Luang Prabang for almost two months, and my go-to for french bread, chocolate croissant, and especially the almond croissant! A cheap 2$ for eggs and baguette. Fair prices. Coffee is delicious! Pretty much everyone who has stayed here long, knows of this place and the goodies. Staff are... read more

We went to this place twice while in Luang Prabang and the food is excellent. I had a croque monsieur both times which was delicious and my girlfriend had a salad which she loved (particularly the French dressing). However, the downside is that the staff at this place are fairly moody and make you feel like you're getting in their... More

Been for lunch and breakfast. The baguettes are so good as are the croissants. Good coffee and lemon presse. Varied menu with food for veggies. Be back in Luang Prebang in a few months and will head back here for breakfast, lunch and anything else I can fit in.

Went twice for lunch - really good baquettes and lots of good fillings. Their lemon iced tea (with no sugar) is super refreshing. A couple of tables on the sidewalk for good people watching.

A hot afternoon and needed a bite to eat and a cool drink. Had read reviews of Le Banneton and called in to see if it lived up to expectations, which it did. The french pastries were dekicious and the service friendly and quite quick considering they were very busy. We returned a couple of times and found that we... More

Do they have the best croissant in town? May be! Do they have the friendliest service in town. Probably not but not that bad. Do they really have that nice reminiscent of a Parisian cafe. Sure! Do they really have something that draws you back again and again? Yes. Some sort. I like having a cup of Americano here especially... More

We came in here a few times for breakfast and once for dinner and everything was quite good all around. The lasagnas are a good size with plenty of cheese, they come with bread and a little salad, all this tasted very nice. The breakfast is also great, the pastries too, and the coffee is good but not anything too... More

We had the baguettes. They were so tasty. We've gone back every day. We tried the almond croissant which is one of the nicest pastries I've ever had. The ham and cheese croissant is also meant to be delicious. Could not recommend this place enough, loved it! Staff had great english and were very friendly also.

Banneton is right on the main road so is good for grabbing some fresh bakery goods on the way to work, but also for sitting down to breakfast after the alms ceremony. They are consistently good. And it is a must for fresh bread on the way home.

Loved the patisseries and breads. I am French and could not have asked for more authentic food. The service could be improved but food and location are great.
