My wife and I enjoyed an excellent dinner at the Blue lagoon. Service was excellent as was the food. Dinner with soup, drinks and entree with service and tip came to $29.. A truly excellent value. More

The Blue Lagoon is the choice in Luang Prabang if you want to treat yourself. It is a bit on the expensive side, but you get what you pay fro as they say. The service is very efficient and professional, the food is outstanding, and even the head chef comes to ask how you meal is. Go on, splash out,... More

I can only say positive things about this restaurant. I've been here many times and really really like it. The food is great, setting nice, service perfect and you immediately feel that somebody care about you as a customer. To be honest I have only tried their western menu because I go here when I need western food and want... More

We can highly recommend the Blue Lagoon Restaurant. Food and service were great, the ambiance was nice, and the chef personally asked guests if they liked the food. Besides, we were pleasantly surprised about the choice of wines. The wine list included, e.g., Serego Alighieri wines (a comparatively small winery near Verona) and other wines which we never expected to... More

When I say upscale please remember I mean 30 Euro per head... I also mean attentive service, a very nice restaurant with all amenities, an attentive owner that goes to each tables and really listens to your opinion (Swiss German guy from his accent) Also the food is REALLY good, with a nice selection of International, local and german specialties.... The quality of the food was very good but be ready for the higher than usual prices. If you want a big night out, this, along with Tamarind, is one of the places to go. More

The food is really good and nice presented on your plate. The owner is walking around in the restaurant and is interested in the customer. Quality is high level. You should try the cold papaya soup with kerry and coconutcream. Its delicious. Price quality is very in balans. More

It was a nice evening but I'd really been looking forward to dining here. It was a special occasion and the food turned out to actually be pretty average. A disappointment for sure. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't good for any of us. The portion size is rather small and not satisfying so when a bill in Laos comes... More

We came here as a result of the rave reviews on Tripadvisor. The restaurant promotes itself as Asian-fusion but in fact it simply had a choice of either western or Lao dishes. We were expecting some creative combinations and found the menu a little dull. There was not as much Asian food as we had hoped, but having said that... More

Sure it was fancy and all that, but the staff are beautiful Lao people stuffed into a monkey suit wearing white gloves and not at all looking natural. The food, while looks beautiful and arty farty, was tastless compared to real Lao cooking. 'Westenized' once again. Over rated, next door at the Phousi Guesthouse was superb Loa cusine. More
