A short walk from Red Canal Hotel but take a torch as limited street lighting. A great bistro style restaurant serving a large range if European (Try the Beef steak or fish and chips) and Asian food, main courses K5000 – K7000. A good selection of French and Australian wine starting from K12,500 per bottle. Fun atmosphere with fast friendly service. Busy on the nights we were there with mainly a younger local crowd so get there early for a table.

Just OK

Great location next to the palace. The GF went back to the standard fried rice as she often does in Asia where as I went the mixed grill. The rice was nice and a good portion as well. My mixed grill was beef, mutton, fish, prawns and something else all swimming in gravy. I understand fish swim but... read more

I went today to this restaurant, found a fly in my bolognaise spaghetti (dish at 6300 kyats), this only made the waiter laugh. I understand that it could happen but the strict minimum is to apologize (well, only if you care about your customers...)

Rubbish Chicken Cheese Sandwich. Only two slices of bread and cheese, barely see chicken in it. Hard to believe it's chicken sandwich.

Good western food. Nice location A big surprise, same menu including same prices as in BBB restaurant. Same ownership of the two restaurants.

Go to City Cafe when Mandalay’s heat and greasy food beckons you to a cool and shady place with good western food. Vegetarian pizza has soft crust and is delicious. The cheese sandwich is the English tea sandwich, untoasted, white, crustless bread with mayo and a thin slice of cheese. Their cafe latte is by far the best in town.... More

This is a recently opened restaurant which serves delicious local food and also features a full bar (which I did not try). Service was very attentive, and when the owner learned this was my first visit to Mandalay, he offered a complementary bowl of local soup for me to try in addition to the feast already on order. I observed... More

Very rarely you find a place that has all the right parameters a good location - good food and slightly good service. I would like to add here that the service does not match the good food or the excellent location. But then you have very good variety to eat with good European food on offer. You can come in... Good coffee is hard to find in Myanmar, and the coffee here is okay - which is good for Myanmar. There is also a wide range of food, both Western and local in a friendly, busy but comfortable restaurant. This was walking distance from our hotel, but otherwise might need a taxi or bike - it is adjacent to the... More

We tried the beef burger and it was good but really basic. The meat, one leave of salad and one tomato. Far to be the best in Myanmar but still ok and good quality meat.
