We finished our visiting the Sunday's traditional fair in Medina Sousse with the lunch in this small and pleasant restaurant located right near the Medina walls. After some fine local Tunisian appetizers (miniature, triangularly shaped briks filled with aromatic mashed potato, mashed tomato and onion with a lot of parsley, white beans in spicy tomato sauce and sauteed eggplants, zucchinis... This was a pleasant surprise as the food and service was much better than the looks outside the Restuarant. The food was great as other reviewers state - especially the tunisian salad and the couscous (vegetable) served with lots of fresh bread and finished with a complimentary tunisian sweet tea. One toilet but perfectly clean. Would recommend and definitely return.... More

Awesome little restaurant, great authentic food. A total gem. Located on the side of the medina near the entrance. Very cheap food, what else can I say. A must for those that are in sousse, pls give this place a visit and don't be put off by the shabby looks. You won't be disappointed in any way.

I went there with wife for a quick bite. The place is nice and the waiter is attentive. We choose grilled lamb cutlet. Unfortunately the cutlet were not great as the meat was less than fresh and you could taste it.. Lot of small bites were coming with them as well, and they were good. Price was negligible. However, I... More

We were shown to this Tunisian cafe while'st on holiday in 2011, by an enthusiastic local who was keen that we should try some authentic cuisine. We were hesitant at first but the warm welcome delicious food and generous portions made it one of the fondest memories of our holiday. So much so that we plan to go back this... More

Although at first might look a little strange, hidden on a pretty empty street in the medina of Sousse, when we eventually decided to go in we had a great experience that we repeated as often as we could when in Sousse. The food is local and the restaurant itself has a great local colour, the service is excellent, with... More

Had a lunch here of cous cous and brik at this little restaurant. Nicely spiced cous cous served with bread and the brik was freshly made. Really enjoyed it and would eat here again. Lovely tea as well.

The food is Tunisian not international. It does not serve alcohol. The food is tasty, well spiced and full of flavour. The food scrapes four stars for quality but should rate six stars for value for money. Eat here and enjoy. If you don't like spicy food don't eat here, but if you like a little bit of spice and... While visiting the medina we stumbled across this nice place tucked away in the medina. The service, food and price was excellent. 3 courses and a mint tea to finish all for about £4 each, a real bargain.
