Every time we go to Brasov, it is our place to go. It is just relaxing, and the food is very good, we never had problems with the service.

When in Brasov, before or after you take a peek inside the Black Church, a visit at Festival 39 is recommended. This warm and cozy restaurant located on the famous walking street provided us a great experience. The comfy sofas, the large armchairs, the dimmed lights contribute to the pleasant atmosphere. The food was unique; the service was good and... More

When I go to Brasov I always stop by and eat at Festival 39. Untill now all has been perfect and it was a place I had to revisit for the good food and environment. Unfortunately, when I wanted to bring some friends and show them the place, they didn't give us the good time we wished for. I still... More

Very old looking place with nice lighting and extremely cosy, with lots of small intimate areas and a great balcony overlooking the main restaurant. The entrance staff were very snooty and unwelcoming, and this nearly put us off. The waiters however were excellent and friendly. Atmosphere was very nice, with lots of people (from couples to families) eating and drinking.... More

Well, besides that fact that there was a lot of smoke inside and the ventilation was very poor and location itself is OK. We were not astonished with the food, which was served rather basic and did not attract you that much visually. The service was quite fast for how busy the restaurant was, but still the waiters were relatively... More

It is a really nice place, special and different compared to other pub's in Brasov. However the place is really full with smokers, everywhere and it is hard to enjoy the food with smoke in your face. The food is ok but , feels like the quality of food droped since last time I visited.

Nice place to grab a drink or something to eat with friends. Cool atmosphere but for a non-smoker it might not be the recommended place as there are no smoke-free areas. Food was quite ok for the group when we were there. A bit on the pricy side for what you got. Good but not great food. If you can... More

While visiting Brasov in December 2014, we enjoyed a very good lunch at '39. Soups were excellent, the draft beer was good and cold, and the pastas were unique and well priced. The place is very, very smoky, but that seems to be pretty common here throughout Romania. Cool bathrooms too!

I was not very impressed by this restaurant. In fact the service, food and atmosphere were for a medium restaurant, the price being quite high for the food served.
