Friendly staff, good food, tad pricey

We ate here largely because we were staying in the attached hotel (Monte Cristo) and it was raining out. However, the food was good and even a bit creative compared to Dalmatian Standard Menu(tm). Staff was friendly and helpful and the choice of seating is all atmospheric - in the small plaza... read more

Loved the exposed stone ambience while sitting inside, but I paid for an overpriced local cheese plate (of 100 grams) which she didn't care to explain--I was hoping to learn more about MNE local cheeses. I just wanted to know their names for future reference. Oh, they were NOT busy at this time of year...she just didn't care to answer... More

It was off season and you would have thought that they may appreciate the business but the service we experienced was just like we were disturbing their quiet evening and they wanted to get rid of us at the earliest opportunity. The waitress having found time to separate herself from her more interesting companion was, being kind, uncommunicative or unkind,... More

This is a great restaurant with the highest quality, fresh food. I had the fresh (not frozen) tuna and it was spectacular! The roasted vegetables and potatoes were also excellent. My daughter had the pasta carbonara and it, too, was excellent. We tried the famous smoked prosciutto and I have never had such a great prosciutto. Also try the local... More

Tried to find upscale Mediterranean food. This place was well reviewed, and its a pretty place. The food was bland. It needed salt, pepper and other spices, but worse, the spaghetti which was supposed to be drenched in bechamel was delivered dry. They made it again, with sauce, but by then all others had finished eating. The cheesecake dessert was... More

Nice enough setting with indoor & outside seating. I had the steak which was cooked well but very dry & difficult to chew. I thought the food & wine rather pricey. The service was friendly but rather slow on a quiet evening business wise.

This place has a really nice ambience with great outdoor and indoor seating in its own little square. We had our meal up on the sechluded and quiet balcony that overlooks the main seating area below and has good views of the area. Food was excellent! I had grilled squid which was cooked to perfection. My wife had stuffed chicken... More

I visited with my fiancee to splash out a bit on our last night in Kotor and was thoroughly impressed with Luna Rossa. We sat in their nice little courtyard and were served by a friendly waiter who was happy to explain dishes and make suggestions. We went with his suggestions on mains and were not disappointed, both were absolutely... More
