We enjoyed lunch prior to checking in to the rooms upstairs on a wet Saturday in February. The decor is very modern and well done, the menu is authentic Serbian food which is uninventive but very tasty. Large serves and bread on the side, as well as a complimentary serve of vegetable crudités with garlic yoghurt sauce, mean if you're... More

Interesting rich menu, a lot of vegetarian options, and delicious food. They also have cheap nice accommodation behind the restaurant. Location: downtown Novi Sad. I visit this town very often and this restaurant/hotel was the highlight of my last trip.

We discovered this place because we spent the night in their hotel. I usually don't like to eat in the restaurant of the hotel I am staying in but this place had a great vibe and the food was delicious. Great traditional Vojvodina food with a contemporary twist served in a casual setting. The noodles were great, and so were... More

We were very disappointed last time we had lunch in Cafe Veliki, as previously they served good local food. This time spare ribs were terrible, smelly and of poor quality. Although portion was declared to be of 800 gr, this time it consisted of two pieces, two ribs, which we doubted was as offered. One of us ordered pasta with... More

Dear Mrs. Marijana, I am terribly sorry about your experience at Cafe Veliki. Thank you for bringing my attention to this incident. My kitchen stuff has precise instructions how to check quality of all ingredients. For us, MUCH greater damage are unsatisfied guests than few expired ingredients thrown into trash. I will certainly investigate how it happened and will do... More

I was there many times! Have spend some fantastic evenings enjoying food that is typical not only for Serbia but for the whole region. You have to taste some delicious specialties like: Chicken rolls wrapped in bacon, stuffed with dried plum and apricot… and Somloi galuska (Hungarian delicacy) you have to taste this. Selection wine is excellent.

The interior design is pure art, the food is delicious and the staff is kind and helpful. As a citizen of Novi Sad, i have been to many cafes and restaurants, however Veliki is without... More

The smokey air and kind of loud music upon entering gave me pause about the choice of Cafe Veliki as my dinner choice for my last night in Novi Sad. After a completely wonderful meal; I'm very pleased that I stayed. The waiter spoke English well and immediately offered me a Serbian drink while I browsed the English menu and... More

We ended in Veliki by recommendation from owner of the place where we slept in Novi Sad - when we asked him where to go he just said "Veliki" and that's it. It's different, everything inside is eco - only wood, stone and metal is used building the place, menus are printed on recycled paper - for sure it posses... More
