We had a lunch here (2 couples / 4 friends). We ordered 3 portions of the daily menu and one meal a la carte. It seemed to take a bit too long to prepare them, but eventually many courses seemed to have been fresh made. I liked that the soup came in a big white soup bowl with regular size... More

The restaurant was beautiful and the food and service divine! Nothing to dislike but don't go if you don't like seafood!

Out for a meal with friends. Ordered mussels as a starter - not even recognisable as mussels and chef should have been ashamed sending them out. Friends ordered fish platter for two - very small pieces of white fish but a plate of mainly scampi and octopus - not what was expected. Two other main courses were Turbot - very... More

Zadar is a rather off the beaten path place for Americans. Check out this restaurant for solid choices. Shrimp with green pasta and light Creme was delicious. I opted for Veal Milanese for main course and was not disappointed. All good but the French fries, which I have found to be a bit soggy in Croatia.

Having read the reviews on this restaurant and, following recommendations by our host in Zadar, we decided to give it a try. It's quite upmarket and we expected to be blown away by the food, given the setting and atmosphere. Sadly we were rather disappointed. We had the fish platter which was very average; we had much better elsewhere in... More

Have read several reviews of this restaurant and I must agree it is pretty expensive. To give you an idea this is what we paid 2 weeks ago when we invited a friend for lunch (3 adults): Cover-charge 3x10 kuna A small mineral water 15 kuna A small Karlovajko (33 cl) beer 17 kun House-wine (very poor quality) 0.5 ltr... Niko does not have an outdoor terrace but opens the windows towards the Borik Marina with a view towards Zadar. Smoking is permitted everywhere indoors so be prepared to have your eating experience ruined by inconsiderate guests on neighboring tables! The wind from the windows spreads smoke everywhere so there is not any escape. We had a good Dalmatian platter... More

We ate decent seafood here, but not really better than anywhere else, we had the large platter which was nice and included all kinds of Fish and shell fish. Was pretty expensive and not amazing but just good.

Whenever I visit Zadar I visit this restaurant. Seafood is always very fresh and choice depends on daily catch. Way of food preparation is traditional. Fish soup is great. Service is excellent, staff is very kind and polite, they always remember details such as: what kind of wine you like, which seafood you prefer etc. Price is a bit high... More
