The members of the Pavin family explain their lifelong successful tradition with the motto: "Our guests feel at home here and the meals we serve them are the ones we would prepare for us." The Niko Restaurant is situated just 3,5 km from the town centre, in the picturesque location known as Puntamika. It is surrounded by the sea, soft flowing winds, with the panoramic View of our 3,000 years old town of Zadar, the town with rich historical background and numerous cultural and historical monuments and museums. The restaurant has seating for 150 people. Its cuisine is based on the fish and the house specialities are scampi, fish (which our guests choose themselves from an abundant fresh selection) and lobsters from our own aquarium. Not only the pleasant atmosphere and the world class cuisine are meritorious for the overall enjoyment you will experience at Niko's, the credit also goes to the klapa Niko (choir) founded by the owner himself.

Very good seafood and service

The service was very good and friendly. The fish melánge, prepared according to the local ways with vegetables was delicious. The white wines suggested by the waiter were also very good. An excellent place to dine, particularly with you are a guest at the Niko hotel.

I've had the breakfast buffet at Restaurant Niko 14 times in my 2013 and 2014 stays at the hotel. While the buffet tends to repeat its items, it offers a solid European breakfast with eggs prepared to order. During my recent 7-night stay at Hotel Niko, I had the pleasure of enjoying four evening meals. Although Niko is known locally... More

We visit today at the end of Croatian Holiday restaurant Niko. We ate grilled fish and grilled squid and they were both very good and tasty. Also the service was very good indeed so we can recommend this restaurant to other visitors. Thank you Tarja and Topi from Finland!

Having read some of the reviews I was hoping for something really special from Restaurant Niko, and it just didn't live up to expectations. The food was fine, but not as good as we had in other local restaurants, and the staff were kind but overly attentive. We were asked about 4 times in the first 5 minutes if we... More

Excellent location near the sea with the panoramic View on old town of Zadar. Great selection of fresh seafood presented in the aquarium from which you can directly select what you want to taste. This culinary experience is worth every paid coins:):):).

After driving all day to get to Zadar, we did not want to get in the car again for dinner. We asked the hostess at Villa Julian for a dinner recommendation. She suggested Niko. It was only a 20 minute walk. It was not crowded; we got a table by the large window with a view of the harbor. Our... More

Friendly reception. Restaurant with a traditional menu. Ordered a dry Croatian sparkling wine Millennium from Tomac to start with. We know it but we were not served the brut one. Nice amuse of marinated anchovies and then we got our fish plate for 2. This was very disappointing. One medium sized white fish (dorade), 2 small squids and beyond a... More

Well...it is as least as good as Foša which is indeed excellent. For lunch today we had outstanding couvert (anchovies!), a mixed seafood plate for appetizer, and then grilled Adriatic squid. And a DELICIOUS COMPLIMENTARY dessert! The service from waiter Josip was excellent. The ambiance was wonderful - we had a table right by the open window, with Greek music... More
