Visited this Konoba last week on trip to Zadar. It is hidden down an alleyway off main street, so easy to miss. No prices advertised, so not pandering to tourists. Very much a local hangout. Tiny cosy room with few tables. We had lovely food (mackerel, and mushroom pasta) from limited menu, all freshly cooked. Great wine. Very friendly attentive... More

A little supprise as we came in. Small but cosy. No standard menu, private kitchen likely. Food is good and service warm. Pricewise very fair.

For Croatian food in a very touristic town Na Po Ure is very good, particularly because it is hidden away from the main stream and gives some peace and quiet. For lunch I had a delicious fish soup followed by a full plate of sardines with vegetables and a side salad. Nothing pretentious, very basic, good and well prepared. A... More

We chose this restaurant after discovering several more highly rated places were closed or full. We are really glad we did. I had the "small fish" special, a plateful of deep fried sprats and sardines. Delicious. My wife ordered the chicken livers. They were perfectly cooked. Both orders were more than ample. The house wine was a lovely zinfandel. The... More

A bit difficult to spot as it is down a little passageway off Spire Brusine. Between us, we had 3 excellent dishes: octopus salad, a fish similar to tuna, and lamb. The house wine was very good. The server was an absolutely delightful young lady.

We chose this place base on our guidebook recommendation, and regretted the choice. The fish we had was nothing exceptional but fine, and the mussles the kids had were OK as well. However, the unforgivable is that in a country with so a wonderful choice of vegetables, we ended up with frozen veggies in our dish, and not even cooked... More

We had two simple meals of freshly caught fish. Not a upperclass meal, but nevertheless , delicious. The bill was only 165 kn(about 20 euros) for the 2 of us. Two drinks were included, a coke and fresh lime juice.

We had some really delicious stuffed peppers one night at Na Po Ure. The staff was extremely friendly even if we got to the place only half an hour before closing time. We went back to the restaurant a couple of days later to get some goulash-like beef and sauce with home-made noodles. Yes, again the food was excellent. Uncomplicated,... More

The name of the place, Na po ure (For half an hour), rather explains the whole concept - come in on your tour of Zadar, grab a quick bite of something nice, freshly prepared and unambitious, and then leave again, refreshed and happy. It is not a place where you would expect magnificent food or a intimate, romantic setting, although... More

We ate here after reading Lonely Planet's recommendation. It was our worst meal during our 2 1/2 week stay in Croatia. The calves liver was awful - we fed it to the 6+ lurking cats under our feet in the back garden. The whole fish was okay, but wasn't anything special. The service was a bit slow but not bad.... More
