Stepping back in history, well preserved

The Amfiteatar is very well preserved. Go first thing in the morning before everyone else arrives. You'll be in awe how big it is.

It's good place (part of Amfiteatar hotel) with domestic food. Interior is little bit dark but very clean. It's near the Amfiteatar so its good way to relax after the visit.

Last time we were here. we ate at their indoor restaurant due to the winter temperature. This time we sat on the terrace with a perfect view of the Amphitheatre itself and enjoyed a very long lunch. We had a mixed seasonal salad - a huge Istrian seafood plate - gilthead bream and my dad had steak. As others have... More

This is not your fancy dining experience but the quality of the ingredients and the expertise from the kitchen puts it up there with the better restaurants in Istria. Went with the Seafood platter, freshest Orada, home baked bread with a wonderful selection of olive oils, and recommended wine, all top drawer. The bill came in Kuna to just under... More

This restaurant was recommended by a lady in Pula Marina. She obviously has good taste as this was a very pleasant experience. It is close to the Marina so easy to walk to. It was a very warm evening so we sat at a table on the terrace. All the food was delicious and the wine exceptional - at last... More

On our second trip to Croatia we ate at some great restaurants and Amfiteatar was one of those. I had the seabass, my partner had a steak and we shared a generous seafood plate. Our waiter chose local Malvasia and Teran wines, all for less than €30, good food for good prices.

We just loved the simplicity of the food at this terrace restaurant. They proudly present their locally sourced ingredients, as many as possible from the Pula Market. We enjoyed Sea Bass and Skampi with good local wine at such reasonable prices. Don't be put off by it's closeness to the top tourist attraction, this is a quality restaurant.

Couldn't find a highly rated restaurant close to our hotel (the Amfiteater) so we decided to break our normal rule by eating in the hotel restaurant. This turned out to be a good decision as I think that it is probably the best restaurant in the immediate area. We had an excellent meal with friendly and attentive service. The fish... More
