good value set lunches

Located across a small square from the Jesuit Church, accessed by 50 steep steps from a square below. Three set lunches were scrawled on a blackboard, each 10 Euros for 2 courses; chicken, cheese pasta or calamari mains, plus dessert, which we were told would be ice cream. An extra large version of... read more

Delicious traditional Croatian food that is reasonably priced and in a beautiful location in Old Town Dubrovnik. House win was also amazing.

My daughter and I stopped at Kopun within a few hours of our arrival in Dubrovnik based upon recommendations in Trip Advisor and by Rick Steves. There are dozens of restaurants with neatly lined tables. Kopun is different in that they focus on cooking what Americans call Capon, the castrated rooster. They also have an availability of truly fresh seafood,... More

We had a starter and a main course, some of the starters were almost big enough to be a main course themselves. Lovely location, when we arrived there were no tables, so we were offered a dessert wine to drink in the square while we waited. The food was spectacular, everyone enjoyed their meal.

We shared a calamari main that was very good. Although our mains both Capon (rooster) were only so so. The glass of wine my girlfriend ordered was the smallest ever served, talking about 1/4 of a small glass. When we paid, I added 12% tip to the bill and the waiter actually asked me if I could increase that by... More

This was a popular restaurant to eat dinner on a Saturday evening. Our group had reserved the small room inside to be on the safe side, weatherwise, but on a warm day it would have been more comfortable eating in their outdoor patio. We climbed up a long staircase on one of the narrow side streets to reach this out... More

Having spent a week travelling the coastal towns we wanted a good quiet meal and we were recommended to try Kopun Restaurant. They were very busy, but offered us a table and helpfully advised us on the menu. The resultant meals soon arrived well presented, beautifully cooked and delicious, further enjoyed with a glass of wine. Highly recommended on this... More

For something different to the standard Croatian fare (which believe me I enjoyed for our month here) try the restaurant's signature dish of kopun. Some people rave about it, others fail to see the attraction, but I loved the sweet version of this dish. But be aware this is one of the more expensive places to eat, so make the... More

Starter of Scallops with cheese sauce and polenta very disappointing. Sauce completely overwhelmed scallops. Main course beef with shrimp sauce, meat no flavour although cooked well. Was told would be served with baked potatoes but came with grilled vegetables, 90% courgettes rest yellow pepper. Lacking in atmosphere, overpriced and service bordering on apathy.
