In the fall of the last year we had a glorious meal at this traditional restaurant at the outskirts of Dubrovnik. Selection of Croatian wines was excellent. If you are a wine connoisseur, this is the place to visit.

I just spent 3 nights at The Lacroma Hotel, and found that in the evening they only had food in the bar from a room service menu at room service prices. We discovered The Komin restaurant behind the hotel and it was a very good choice. Six of us ate there and everyone liked their meal. They will cook some... More

This restaurant was close to our hotel and we decided to try it for convenience. We were disappointed by very salty food and service that was mediocre at best. We opted for their seafood platter with a side of grilled vegetables. This was our worst meal during our 2 week stay in Croatia. The food arrived warm not hot and... More

Stayed at the hotel right by it. Ended up eating here 3 nights in a row. Price for three people, seafood platter and 3 different salads only cost $26 in American money. Octopus salad was unbelievably good. Great service.

We stayed at the Valamar Hotel and walked 4 minutes to this restaurant. The food was delicious. We ordered the octopus salad, beef soup, dalmatian steak, fried calamari grilled vegetables and chocolate soufflé. The steak and vegetables were grilled on an open fire in the dining room. We ordered the house wine which was very good.

We had some cheese and meat as a starter. Main course was the traditional lamb and veal under the bell. Meat was tender but to be honest portion is too fatty for Scandinavian taste. Potatoes are also swimming in the fat. Somebody will like that for sure but my opinion is that if you make food with the bell do... More

Komin has a beautiful outdoor dining area. No matter where we ate, we became very use to sharing our food with the local felines (we are animal advocates and found them charming and polite). Komin had a beautiful dog who roamed the grounds playing with the cats like he was "protecting" his territory, but was really just playing with them.... More

The waitress said they served Croatian food. Grilled fish was salty; shrimp and seafood risotto was ok. The best fresh anchovies in lemon and arugula I've ever tasted. Calamari was also surprisingly good. No service charge. And dinner had live music- guitar and Croatian lyrics. Interesting.

Our tour rep suggested that the lamb at Komin was a great meal so in spite of some poor reviews we decided to give it a try. Our meal lamb under the bell had to be ordered 3 hours in advance. We arrived and we're seated outside, it's a little run down but clean and cosy. Our waitress was great... More

My wife and I ate an evening meal here twice on our recent holiday. The food was great, the service was brilliant and the ambiance of the quiet setting and the guitar player was lovely. Best meal of the holiday.
