Hidden gem in the hearth of Old Town Dubrovnik!Restaurant Marco Polo is hidden in the hearth of the Dubrovnik Old Town, in a traditional courtyard of street called Lučarica. Small family restaurant is placed in a private and calm ambient and it offers oasis of busy streets to taste fish, meat and vegetarian specialties of the house. Here is the place where you can taste both traditional recipes from our grandmothers like mussels and seashells in traditional red or white sauce called ‘’Buzzara’’, traditional Black risotto or some of our modern dishes like Tuna Steak Precious Blue in sesame crust.Sharing our food and culture with people all around the world is inspiration for us. We use ingredients like Adriatic tuna, octopus, homemade anchovies, Croatian cheese, Oysters from Ston, extra virgin olive oil from Island of Korčula and lot of herbs to present you taste of our cuisine and culture.Accompanied with excellent Croatian wine, beer and homemade liquors be sure you will experience our past and future on a plate.

Great restaurant with super service

Quiet private location just off the main square. Our server Dominik was superb, with a great sense of humor and attention to detail. We were a fairly fussy group of 15 and service was quick. Everyone enjoyed their varied choices. We'd be pleased to go again.

We ran into this hotel by chance and we decided to give it a try. We were here for dinner and I must say it was a terrible experience. I agree food was ok, nothing much to complain, but not great. But the service was pathetic, the waiter was so very impatient and just waiting for us to leave the... More

15 of us went on "spec" to Dubrovnik old town and resisted blandishments of free aperitifs elsewhere (very low ratings on tripadvisor helped!) and found Marco Polo up a side alley. Great food and good wine list (but house red was just fine) and friendly and humorous service - highly recommended by all

Very knowledgeable staff. Catch of the day is a must. In my case, it was grilled seabream.

We had a perfect lunch here on the upstairs deck surrounded by flowers and vines along with other patrons enjoying great local cuisine and excellent service. We tried the local specialty of cheese and thinly sliced meat which was superb. Our waiter recommended a local Chardonnay that was certainly superior to others we have tried. It's always a risk leaving... More

We stopped here for lunch and it was very good. We shared the cheese plate and beef carpaccio for lunch and they were very good. The staff were friendly and spoke good English which was a help to us. And on a hot day the restaurant was a very cool place to enjoy a meal. Highly recommend to others.

We went for dinner our last night in Dubrovnik and this was our favorite meal by far. The service and food were top notch and location and ambience perfect for a romantic dinner. We sat in courtyard which was beautiful and there is limited indoor seating as well which looked equally as nice. We had local Croatian wine, octopus carpaccio,... More

Had their catch of the day - sea bass. The fish was grilled to perfection and so tender that it melts in your mouth. Paired with their local wine, the meal was simply perfection. Would definitely come back again if there's a chance.

Went here after a long day and the staff where superb, the food was bistro style and very tasty! Great for vegetarian, fish and meat lovers as the serve homemade dishes that are different from the rest of the surrounding restaurants. It's a hidden gem but I would definitely recommend!
