Hidden gem in the hearth of Old Town Dubrovnik!Restaurant Marco Polo is hidden in the hearth of the Dubrovnik Old Town, in a traditional courtyard of street called Lučarica. Small family restaurant is placed in a private and calm ambient and it offers oasis of busy streets to taste fish, meat and vegetarian specialties of the house. Here is the place where you can taste both traditional recipes from our grandmothers like mussels and seashells in traditional red or white sauce called ‘’Buzzara’’, traditional Black risotto or some of our modern dishes like Tuna Steak Precious Blue in sesame crust.Sharing our food and culture with people all around the world is inspiration for us. We use ingredients like Adriatic tuna, octopus, homemade anchovies, Croatian cheese, Oysters from Ston, extra virgin olive oil from Island of Korčula and lot of herbs to present you taste of our cuisine and culture.Accompanied with excellent Croatian wine, beer and homemade liquors be sure you will experience our past and future on a plate.

wonderful food

I have been there for Dinner and it is fabulous! The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming and everyone working has a smile on their face. The wine was amazing as well as food. Our server was RokoRole and he was very attentive and friendly.

We hear good reviews abt the place.. Ordered calamari.. It's wasn't cooked at all.. Very disappointing.. Even the soup was really sad.. No salt.. May be its just our Indian taste.. The chef was quite upset tat we didn't like the food.. But can't help it..

Excelent service and good local food. Gotta try the Kubla Khan steak.Warm and cosy atmosphere. Good value for money and something different than old town mayhem.

Dining is never cheap in Dubrovnik, but Marco Polo represents good value because it's product is a notch above many others. We had no booking, but were seated in what is essentially an alleyway. This meant enduring cigarette smoke for a time. That would have been a deal-breaker for me had it continued. Service is snappy, and the menu broad... More

If you're visiting Dubrovnik Old Town, you should definitely have dinner and/or lunch at the restaurant Marco Polo! The cozy restaurant is located just off the Stradun in a small quiet walkway that provides access to several apartments on the floors above the restaurant. The menu offers a variety of dishes and each one we tried was excellent. The service... More

Having (nearly) exhausted all the best mid-range restaurants in Dubrovnik, we ate outside on a pleasant evening. Complimentary small glass of warm carrot soup was much appreciated. Bread was very good. Delicious beefsteak, pork and veg noodle dishes. I recommend.

We tried to visit this restaurant for pre- dinner drinks and they didn't want to know. It was a cold, rainy night in Dubrovnik, with not a lot of people going about and only 6 people sat in their terrace, hopefully he managed to fill the empty seats because we went round the corner to a lovely wine bar and... We visited on the final night of our trip to Dubrovnik and were not disappointed. Located just off the beaten track but in the heart of the old city, service was a bit sluggish to start with but we weren't in a rush. Good selection of meat, seafood and salads, good beer (Hajduk) and a decent wine selection which was... More

Our starters, we share fish platters - smoke tuna, anchovies and some salads. We had a great Sea Bass - fish of day for our lunch. Our waiter was knowledgeable explain the origin of wine we ordered as it was our first Croatian white wine. He also fillet our fish, so we don't have the fish head staring at us!... More
