Great value and food in the old city

We've been coming to Dundo Maroje over the years - as its closed a lot of the time we are in Dubrovnik working during the winter, we don't eat here as often as we would like. The restaurant is hidden away in an alleyway at the end of Stradun opposite St Blaise church but worth looking for. We... read more

Dundo Maroje is small resturant in small street near Stradun. They have fish and meat, good wine and desserts. You can order menu, and you get five corses. I can recommend limoncello, light alcohol lemon drink-delicious!

This is a small restaurant located in an alley just off the main road of the old town. Most of the tables are lined up along the alley. The city is full of restaurants and choosing one can be quite a task as there are many "tourist traps" in the city. We had lunch in this place based on a... More

we went there for dinner twice, as this restaurant was mentioned in our guidebook and also located in the same street as our accommodation. well, I have to say: a very good choice! the quality of the food is great, the service is good. we had a very nice octopus salad, fish soup, as well as mussels (apparently a must!)... I visited three times on my latest visit to Dubrovnik. It is an old favourite and the features which I remembered so positively were all still evident: the fine sea food, reasonable prices and friendly service. Not to mention the fun of outside dining.

With a number not very good restaurants nearby, I went to this restaurant as it was near to my apartment. I got a local Croatian dish which was plentiful. Added to this beard and 2 nice glasses of wine I went away very happy. It was good to see that the 2 girls made a genuine effort to be friendly... More

From the outside, this looks just like a hundred other small restaurants just off the main street of the Old City of Dubrovnik. However, the service, quality and value cannot be readily matched. At dinner, they offer a 4 course pricing option of about US$33. For each course, you have a choice of at least five options, each representing authentic... More

Having arrived in Dubrovnik and settled into our hotel (B&B), we went into the Old Town to find somewhere to eat. This great little restaurant is situated just off the main square at the bottom of one of the many narrow side streets. Considering its excellent location the prices were very reasonable. The food (we shared the fish platter) was... More
