The day we had booked villa ruza for lunch, we experienced the biggest thunder storm and down pour whilst travelling on the ferry from Gruz- Kolocep. We thought they were going to be closed as everywhere was drenched! We got there and to our surprise they were open.. They had set up a table for us inside the villa! We... More

Came here for a spot of lunch by boat from our hotel, moored right outside after a very scenic trip across from Dubrovnik marina. Very polished waiting staff showed us to our table and displayed a range of very large very fresh fish to select from. After a simple but delicious amuse bouche of local cheese and home baked bread... More

We were brought here by our skipper of the boat we rented. It is a very nice place with a nice warm breeze blowing through. Views are special. Food and service was very good. I went for the red snapper and scampi off the BBQ. Prices are reasonable too.

I had my wedding reception here on Friday 27th June. We came for a visit to the island in 2013 and there was no where else that compared to the picture perfect villa ruza overlooking the sea. All of the staff are perfectly attentive and know the menu really well. Ruder and Nikolina are a lovely couple and own such... More

This was our third annual visit to Villa Ruza and we had more than a little apprehension, on the basis that last year we thought 'surely it can't be better than our first magical time'...and it was and so this time we thought 'surely it can't beat last year as that was perfection'...and it did, by a country mile. Like... More

We took the speedboat out there and back just for the experience and the boat couldn't come into the original pick up due to the choppy seay, so we grabbed a taxi five minutes around the corner into the marina at Lapad. We arrived to a lovely welcome from the staff and we managed to see the sunset. Very romantic... More

The freshest fish I have ever had! We took a small private boat here and on the way over had what I thought was the best prawns dish I had ever had until two hours later when we ordered the tempura prawn starter and I was blown away. The view is stunning and food gets better with every course that... More

My partner and I arrived at the resturant on a private speed boat and was greeted by a member of staff who took us to our pre-booked table which was perfect to see the sun set. I had been in constant communication with Ruder (resturant owner) about my plans to propose at the resturant. Ruder could not have been anymore... More

Went with friends whilst staying on island. We opted for their suggested selection of starter that was very good. We had fresh fish and although I am not a fish lover I really enjoyed it. I do not think that the prices were in anyway expensive and no more than you would pay at any city restaurant. However would you... More

Well. The one sentence above sums it up! The food was great, just expensive. One of those "small serving, huge plate" sort of places. That said it was delicious and we were thrilled. It was a beautiful, romantic night made perfect by the staff
