we had dinner there on the recommendation of our apartment host, but turned out to be a bit of a mistake . The traditional Dalmatian beef and seafood pasta were the worst we have had in Crioata and we've been here over a month, sorry can't recommend

If you like modern, shiny, full of light restaurants in the sun then skip this. This is old-school Dalmatian konoba-restaurant, not changed for last 35yrs. The food is still great, and the real value is in tiny authentic basement that will transport you into some other times.

We had a delicious dinner there last summer. There were 10 of us and everyone had a really good meal and had a great time. It's a bit pricey, but if you want to give yourself a special treat, visit this place.

We stumbled across this restaurant by accident and are so glad we did. We ate here about 5 times over 3 days! Had to keep going back to try something else on the menu. Highly recommended for a quality and delicious meal.

Our tour guide recommended this place and it showed out to be one of the best meals we have ever had. Very simple, very tasteful and very inexpensive (well, at least compared where we come from). And what we liked was that we were the only non-locals - obviously tourists have not discovered it yet.

Not so easy to find in a narrow street close to Josip Strosmayer park (where you can see the gigantic statue of Grogor of Knin by Mestrovic) this is a very nice konoba where you can eat either downstairs in a vaulted cellar or up in a very pleasant patio. The food is perfect in croatian way (means simple way... More

The picturesque Dalmatian tavern located on Manus, the old part of Split, near the city park in the center. In front of the tavern is a small covered terrace, ideal for summer days, close to the entrance are the old horse-drawn vehicles ... altogether, a nice atmosphere of the Dalmatian tradition and good local food ...

We got raved reviews of this restaurant and thought it would be packed but perhaps because it was pretty spacious and a bit hard to find, there were only a few people dining. We sat outside in a nice terrace. The servers looked somewhat bored. We started out with sardines which were naturally salty. It was plump and good. But... More

The owner of the apartment where we stayed in split recommended this restaurant as she thought the price is reasonable and the food is nice. We were then eager to locate it but all we got was disappointment. We ordered "French mussels" but it turned out to be clamps. The waiter confirmed that it was French mussels though, excellent.
