Paradox was the first stop after landing in Split and finding our apartments. Marko was excellent with his recommendations to local wine, cheese and meats. We stayed longer than expected, enjoying the "quiet" away from the crowd along the waterfront. Because of our most pleasant experience at Paradox, we tried another restaurant in their group; Paradigma, and we're not disappointed.... More

The cheese and wine are both excellent, as you might expect. The staff was knowledgeable, which might also be expected. But within minutes the waiter realized my table was slightly wabbly, pulled something from his pocket and fixed the issue. Hard to beat that level of dedication and service.

To be fair, I love wine and cheese. So maybe I'm biased. But this was a great little place. I loved sampling local (Croatian) wines and cheeses. The wine is surprisingly good for the price, and who knew Croatia did cheese so well. The servers were very knowledgeable and made wonderful recommendations. There is also a very nice outdoor seating... More

Came here one evening for a couple of drinks following the reviews on here. Excellent wines, superb cheeses and jams to compliment the wines and very knowledgeable staff to help with your choices. Highly recommend!

Stopped in for the usual bottle of wine & cheese tray. They had a great selection of wines from Croatia and all over. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Only a short walk from the water. Very reasonable prices. Enjoy.

My husband and I decided to splurge on a little local wine tasting at Paradox. The service was fantastic. Our waiter made great wine and cheese recommendations. He was very knowledgeable about the local wines (which are surprisingly good) and was able to tell us all about the grapes and the origin of the wines. He spoke very good English... More

This was a great place for a drink before dinner. Huge wine list with some really delicious Croatian wines. Goran was fantastic and was spot-on with his recommendations. They have a nice selection of cheese and meats for a pre-dinner snack.

A lovely bar serving a multitude of local wines and cheeses. As well as other lovely platters. The staff were very friendly and informative. We felt very welcome and it was not at all pretentious. The recommended wine was amazing, and at great prices. We were staying at an apartment just above this bar so strolled on in. Would definitely... More

This bar is simply outstanding! The waiting staff are very knowledgeable and keen to help you choose if you're unsure of what to have. The cheese and wine was beautifully presented and delicious. I could have stayed there all night!
