Nothing special

This restaurant is situated in the small square outside the Jupiter Hotel where we stayed and it was convenient for our first night having had a long day's travelling. We had a fish platter for 2 which was pricey. It was ok - a bit too much octopus for my liking and the mussels were a bit dried,but... read more

We went out looking for a restaurant that had tables inside as it was quite windy that evening and came across San Giovanni, without looking at the reviews beforehand we sat down and ordered our food. Before I sat down, I did notice the place didn't look very clean but didn't think anything of it. Our Pizza's and Spaghetti came... More

Unfortunately we didn't check reviews before sitting here! Very unfriendly staff, we were served large beers even though we ordered small, and were made to pay for them. Toilets were filthy, no hand soap and water heater falling off the wall. Inside the restaurant was full of smoke, so the only saving grace perhaps was that we didn't eat here!!

Thick doughy cheese loaded pizza, bad pasta. Prices seem to be ok, but not for this quality. Nice surrounding...

We ordered a pizza, garlic sauce and some water. You'd think pizza can't be bad, but they proved me wrong. The dough was almost impossible to cut, there was very little cheese and everything just tasted bad. The prices were high, they didn't accept credit cards, we waited for everything forever and staff was unpleasant. They also added a "Jupiter... More

Awful food. Inedible. Waitress told us that that they accept credit card but he lied. Avoid this restaurant.

It was by far the worst experience i ever had in Split as well as in Europe. It was totally a tourist trap! Please anyone who ever see this comment, do not choose this restaurant or you will regret! The restaurant was located in a remote corner from the main street. The staff there was not friendly at all, when... More

I fully agree with earlier reviews, seemed like tourist trap, ok if you get some quality for it afterwards. Absolutely NOT the case... My family and i hoped for a nice meal in historic Split, instead a very bad experience. Waiter was nice ... In the beginning... I orderped pasta with seafood (shrimps and salmon). When i got my dish... More
