Fresh fish feast

Understandably highly rated on here. Not a huge selection on the menu, which I tend to think is a good sign. To start your experience off the waiter brings out a plate of the daily fish and provided information about them. They have first class and second class fish. We ordered the seafood platter, which we recommend. IT came with both first and second class fish, prawns, scampi, mussels and a roasted veggies salad. The first class fish are much more... More

The waiter was very attentive and wanted to be sure we understood the menu. He knows his fish! The scorpion fish was very moist and flavorful, and he gave us great credit for recognizing that the best meats were in the head :) Our friends had the sea bass and were a bit disappointed with it because it was dryish.This... It was a beautiful night and we were able to sit outside in the cute alleyway. They were busy so our reservation was bumped back a bit. The server was very polite about it, consequently we got two glasses of wine each for the slight inconvenience. Our server was really helpful with suggestions. When the food came it out, it... More

Decided we had to go to this restaurant as it was #1 on trip advisor. We had to book 3 days in advance apparently and the only time slot was for 7.30pm. We arrived with a warm greeting and sat at the outside table on wooden benches. The waiter was very informative and friendly explaining the menu. I ordered a... More

Visited the place after reading some of the reviews. Make sure you reserve ahead if you wish to sit outside especially. It's small and busy most nights. Service is what I will remember the most. Most waiters in Croatia will give you basic service since it is not a custom to tip a certain percentage as it is a case... More

This was hands down the best meal we had in Split. Started with some cured ham (pršut) and sheeps cheeses- fantastic sage flavoured hard cheese and wonderful, delicate, young soft cheese. For main course, the waiter recommended a whole seabass to share as "Its been a bad day for fishing and its the best we can do sorry" It was... More

While this Konoba is just a little off the beaten track it is worth the walk and can easily be combined with a walk to Marjan. We went here for the fresh seafood and we weren't disappointed. The knowledgeable staff showed a platter with beautiful fish to allow us to make our own selection. The whole fish we chose was... More

The waiter was excellent. He brought out the platter of fresh fish for us to choose from. He also recommended the wine and let us taste and try two wines before we chose. The meal was lovely although probably the most expensive dinner we had in Split, the wine is particularly expensive by Crostian standards.
