Cute little local place with excellent seafood dishes

We managed to get a table for 2 at this very small, quaint local restaurant (about 7 tables inside). We weren’t sure what to expect, but the seafood dishes we ordered tasted excellent and were of a high quality. The service was typically good, and I would highly recommend this little place to... read more

Out of our whole trip this was my favourite restaurant, we travelled around various places in Croatia and Venice and this was by far my favourite. I don't even know where to begin, from the friendly staff who work super hard to the amazing food which is so fresh and great value. I am not a massive seafood fan but... More

A family run restaurant not far away from the tourist area. We walked by the restaurant and was attracted by the fish dish on the table. We went in the restaurant and they showed us and explained different types of fishes. We tried the Red Scorpion which is one of the local fish with delicate meat. It was grilled perfectly.... More

Excellent food in a family-owned konoba. Disaster: they stopped offering pašticada, and I will never accept any reason against best possible dish in Dalmatia.... buhuhuuuuu

We island hopped whilst we were in Croatia and started our Journey in Split. This restaurant was just underneath our apartment. What a place. We thought it looked nice and the night we arrived was very busy so the next morning whilst walking past, we booked our table. So glad we did! We had Shrimps and Cheese/ham to start. Then... More

We were recommended this small restaurant before we arrived and booked it for our first evening. It specialises in fresh fish, the most beautiful fresh fish cooked simply just as it should be. It was so good we went back on our final night of a long weekend. If anything it was even better the second time around. Do book... More

We found Marjan actually on trip advisor whilst on our trip - best decision we made! My boyfriend loves fish, me on the other hand am no so keen but was determined to try some local fishes whilst away - we went for the fish platter, possibly a little adventurous but I thoroughly enjoyed every last bit! It was beautiful!... More

Me and three friends were lucky enough to get a reservation at this place sitting outside. Despite being very busy the staff were very attentive and provided us with complimentary fizz whilst the table before us finished off (they were taking longer than expected as the guy had just proposed to his girlfriend). The fish is sold by grade and... More

We stumbled upon Marjan after trying to dine at Matejuska without a reservation. Our meal didn't start off well, as we were disappointed not to be at our top choice and the staff was slow to pay attention to us. But, it wasn't long until our outlook changed entirely. The meal was one of the most memorable for our entire... More
