After a long drive we decided to have a late lunch at Marul. We just left after waiting 1 hour for a pizza and a spaghetti :( It took a long time but finally our waiter told us "only 30 seconds more", then changed his clothes and ended his shift leaving us with still no food... no excuses or explanation... We found restaurant Marul in Split via a flyer. It is located just outside the palace walls, on Trg Brace Radica 2 just behind the boulevard on a little square with the statue of poet Marko Marulic. We eat there for 4 times and every time the food was great. We took the meat and french fries or baked potatoes... More

Visited Konoba Marul for lunch after a recommendation from our hotel (Hotel Vestibul). I had the squid ink risotto which was one of my best meals during our stay in Croatia. The house wine was also great and perfectly matched to the food. Service was good and the restaurant is located in a very cozy little square just off the... More

This really nicely situated cafe restaurant in an old square is a pleasure to visit. Do not be fooled by the white table cloths next door.......it is horrible! Here the menu is good, the service is fine, and the boss wants you to come back.....and you will. TAKES CREDIT CARDS, UNLIKE NEIGHBOUR...... We had good mussels and good fish.......and a... More

Great service and good food, value for the money! The waiter was quick with drinks and dessert for our two-year-old who needed something in a hurry.

We stopped there on our last night, we sat inside as it was a bit windy and cold outside. Inside the decor is very quaint, most people stayed outside so we had the inside all to ourselves including the TV showing the World Cup match on that day. Service was very good and rapid. The food arrived quickly and the... More

this place is located in a nice square, right in the middle of the old town. It looks like a bit of a tourist trap, but the food, although very simple, was actually very good. I had the house special - monkfish and my fiance had monkfish. Service was fine.

Nice looking restaurant in center of split old town. Best of all is that it is located in shade so when the out temperature is 30 it is very nice to spend lunch time. we had dalmatian pasticada and it was excellent!!! Prices are resonable. Staff was very friendly and english spoken.

Salad "house special" had no cheese. Fried calamari was ok. Grilled calamari was burnt to crisp. After waiter tried to convince us we did not know what we were talking about, he removed from bill. We've had excellent seafood in Croatia - calamari to die for in Plitvice! Toni's, awesome.
