Grilled lamb

First of all the evening that i came there, there was a typical croatian band singing and playing beautiful local music, very traditionally! Then i ordered the lamb that end my day so good, it was tasty i enjoy the local and evrrything. Nice croatian konoba!

We got seated without reservations at an outdoor table. I thought the service was attentive and fast while the food was fine. I had rib-in lamb chops which were flavorful. I also got the octopus salad which was almost entirely octopus; maybe could have added some more tomatoes or cucumbers or other fresh vegetable to make it not so overpowering.... More

Went there by suggestion of our guide on the walking tour and loved it! Nice place, friendly staff and amazing Pastiscada! (Also, it wasn't expensive at all)

Stopping in at the Tourist Bureau on the west side of the Riva, we asked VJ, an excellent employee of the Bureau where and what he would suggest for a good example of a local dinner. Without hesitation he suggested the house specialty @ Konoba Varos-"Pastisada"- Naturally we followed his advice and learned and tasted a savory baby beef marinated... More

The problem with this plaće is that they kick you out if you come with a dog. How rude is that?!?? A friend of a friend even came with a guide dog and they got kicked out. This pace is a disgrace.

This restaurant is simply the best among the best in Split! I've eaten here several times, with friends, with my family and never got disappointed. Fresh fish cooked in whatever way you prefer is a must here and make sure you leave some space for the local pancakes (palacinke) at the end of the meal. Would truly recommend it to... More

We fancied some fish. It was very well cooked, delicious but came rather expensive for what it was. Good soup. Pleasant waiter but seemed to be easily distracted.

The woman from whom we rented our apartment recommended this place and we had a lot of trouble finding it, so watch the map or guidebook carefully, as locals will just tell you to go down a street and turn left then right. Good luck with that. When we finally found it, we were pleased with the food, but it... More

Place is nice, little rusty (just as one will expect on the Dalmatian coast), food is EXCELLENT, fresh fish every day, and they serve THE BEST (all around the world the best!!) monk-fish tail a la parisienne EVER (as a daily offer, which is cheaper than prepared differently). Tartare sauce is fantastic. Squids, shells, I class fish, II class fish,... More

Konoba Varoš offers sea food of a good quality, but do not expect to your meal to be a cheap one. House wine is good too. They stick to traditional way of preparation, so there will be no negative, but also not a positive surprises. If it is a rainy day, I suggest you take your umbrella with you inside.... More
