The woman from whom we rented our apartment recommended this place and we had a lot of trouble finding it, so watch the map or guidebook carefully, as locals will just tell you to go down a street and turn left then right. Good luck with that. When we finally found it, we were pleased with the... read more

Place is nice, little rusty (just as one will expect on the Dalmatian coast), food is EXCELLENT, fresh fish every day, and they serve THE BEST (all around the world the best!!) monk-fish tail a la parisienne EVER (as a daily offer, which is cheaper than prepared differently). Tartare sauce is fantastic. Squids, shells, I class fish, II class fish,... More

Konoba Varoš offers sea food of a good quality, but do not expect to your meal to be a cheap one. House wine is good too. They stick to traditional way of preparation, so there will be no negative, but also not a positive surprises. If it is a rainy day, I suggest you take your umbrella with you inside.... More

The food at Konoba Varos was very tasty. The main selection is fresh seafood as well as local Croatian specialities. I shared the seafood platter for two, it was full of tuna, fried squid, small fried fish, mussels, and seasonal vegetables. The fried squid and fresh tartare sauce was my favourite. It was a clean restaurant with ocean themed decor.... More

Located just outside the palace walls, it's a little hard to find. But, they have a huge menu of seafood and meats. It was nearly full with locals during the off-season so it's probably full during the tourist season.

The manager at our apartment recommended we go to the nearby Konoba Varos. There was a laundromat nearby so while we dined on delicious seafood, a wonderful woman did all our laundry. What a win-win! We ran into a couple we had seen earlier and they said "I see you read Rick Steves." We had not read it but he... More

place was recommended by our host, but having tested several Konoba in Croatia, this was just average. Not bad, but not great either... Just average. And pricey for it.

We went here for lunch and chose mushroom pasta and gnocchi. Both seemed to be from packets and we both had dodgy tummys later on. The decor inside was also off putting. Lots of dusty looking fishing nets and curtains hanging around. We went to several other kanobas nearby during our holiday and all were fresher and better value with... More

Been there with my mother and sister, we ordered seafood platter for two, portion was small, it costs 370kn, scampi soup, and clear beef soup with pasta, some of the mussels for seafood platter haven't cooked yet, and the fish are not fresh. The price is so expansive compare to others nice seafood restaurant around that area, it's overprice, Some... More
