We had several restaurants on our list in this quaint section of Split at the foot of Marjan Hill, and wanted to eat at Matejuska but they were fully booked for each of the two nights we were there (very small restaurant), so we walked around the corner to Buffet Sperun and immediately got a table. Fast and jovial service,... More

We stumbled across Sperun Deva after an early evening stroll discovering the old city of Split. The restaurant is just outside the old city in a quieter side street, and looked very inviting with its attractive outdoor settings along the footpath. Service was friendly and efficient, and the waiter had time to discuss the menu as the tables quickly filled... More

A nice place but always very busy and when we did get in the volume of other diners was tough to bear due to a cruise ship filling it up. Service was fast, efficient and friendly but the portions quite small compared to elsewhere. I had lasagne and would have got a starter too if I knew how small it... More

So scrowded there was no place so we could come 3 days later Then i orderded vegetarian dish and got lam. People standing outside waiting and that you can feel. Service was not so good and the food (both of us) was poor, very simple and litle presetation . The tables were put so close together that there was no... More

This place is away from the old city and the popular waterfront but a very short walk and well worth it - better food and better prices in this area. We liked this one the best. They have a bar across the street to wait in if the restaurant is full and people still line up. Ask for a table... More

Our party of 3 visited Sperun for dinner after receiving recommendations from various sources to do so. We made a reservation a few days in advance, which was a requirement since the restaurant is quite popular and has limited capacity. 2 of our party are vegans, and while most of the menu consists of traditional Dalmatian style dishes which heavily... If you're after traditional, you've come to the right place! I was after a light meal and ordered the most delicious baked makeral! Really impressive food and service! My husband had the white bait! Delightful too! Service personable, highly recommend!

This place feels local but on a busy Friday night when we ate, 100% of the dining clientele was foreign. The veal escalopes were ok, nothing to get excited about. Served with boiled potatoes and nothing else. The other entree, baked fish, was very fresh, typically Croatian - with no spices whatsoever, served with boiled potatoes and kale it chard... More

We went here on a recommendation from a friend, who also advised us to book. They take reservations, but only up until 7pm. We were glad we booked because they got very very busy, and people were hanging about for tables (I don't think they had much of a system for waiting). We opted to eat outside - atmospheric but... The fish soup with rice was the worst we've ever had. The main courses were Ok though. This was the only restaurant on our trip that offered us an after dinner schnapps.
