Our small family restaurant is run by Father & Chef, preparing dishes that are passed on by his mother and grandmother. Our family lives in this neigborhood for more than 300 years. Stunning & Amazing

Yes...those two words will tell you right off not to bother looking elsewhere. Sure you can visit other places, pay more for a view, for a name, whatever but you will not find the same quality of food or service. The two guys waitressing were absolute GEM!!! Funny, available, simply nice guys who... read more

Nice and cosy place. It is very small. We ordered fish plate for 2. Meal was absolutely delicious. Staff was attentive. They offered us to change the table during meal due to the harsh sun and sit in the shadow.

I visited Konoba Matejuska for lunch with a friend during the high season. Not having many tables (as is apparently normal in konobas) the place was full but the were happy to make a reservation for an hour later which ensured we would sit down. After a few beers at the waterfront we headed back to find we had be... More

We were very impressed by this restaurant recommended to us by the landlord of our rental apartment. The atmosphere is very nice and cosy. The service and attention of the staff is exceptionally good. I have been to many restaurants in my life over 5 continents and I have very rarely felt so much at ease with the guidance of... More

They have very good daily dishes. We ate octopus with chickpeas and it was really good. Grilled fish is also quite good! Unfortunately the desserts are not homemade. Also, the place is quite small so don't go there in big groups and try to book in advance.

I've been visiting Dalmatia since 2001. I've been to Split more times than I can remember, but I only just discovered this restaurant. And it is amazing. Fantastic food and great staff. But book a table because it is tiny. Also! Note that this restaurant is open all year round apart from January and outside of summer high season they... More

Unfortunately the restaurant were too busy to accommodate us for dinner, but they offered a lunch reservation instead. The waiter was helpful and knowledgeable, offering various options with the fish of the day. Even the vegetable side was perfectly cooked.

Our travel agency, Secret Dalmatia, recommended Konoba Matejuska to us and it was the first restaurant we visited on our trip. We were seated at a nice large booth (there were 9 of us) inside and while we were having dinner, 3 different people came in to secure reservations on other nights. We felt very fortunate to be there! The... More

Three ladies shared an order of the fish combination of mullet, sea bass, and two other fish plus a calamari appetizer. All was perfectly prepared and seasoned. Meal tasted outstanding with the popular beer. The very small restaurant had a quaint ambiance. Was able to get a table by arriving before 5 PM.

We regret not ordering certain dishes on our arrival to Split days prior to our visit there. But nevertheless, the food was amazing. The special that day was a Stewed Octopus with chickpeas which melted in your mouth and you wanted to sop up every drop of the sauce with bread. The Grilled Sardines were delicious as well. The fried... More
