Great place almost in center of Split. The staff has typical dalmatian behavior/charm. Enormous portion, very reasonable prices, fresh food. The best pasticada. Soups are also very good.

What a wonderful surprise, to find such a fun and genuine Croatian restaurant serving honest food at reasonable prices so close to the Riva. The staff was very helpful and the overall ambiance made the dinner a true joy. We shall return on our next trip to Split. If not in this life, then certainly in the next!

Located close to the sea and the port. It's pretty crowded so they ask if you don't mind sharing the table. But it's quite a big table (and if you don't like it don't go to Paris) :) They have menu in many languages. The food didn't take very long to come and the portions were so huge we couldn't finish... Our apartment owner recommended this place to us and it also kept popping up online as somewhere not to miss and it certainly lived up to its reputation. As the hostess explained, it no frills home cooking at and affordable price. We had the tripe (which she let us try before we ordered it?! And it was amazing) , grilled... More

Myself and my girlfriend just got home from this place and i felt compelled to review it.. WOW. We arrived just after 9pm and waited for a table (still busy and for a sunday?) Our waitress was fantastic from the outset.. Helped us chose our meals upon her recommendation *Seafood Risotto (HUGE with tonnes of fresh seafood, squid, prawns and... More

Have been here on a couple of occasions, on recommendation of other travellers and the locals. It's much better to sit outside, especially during summer. The place is always very busy and sometimes you have to wait in queue, but turnaround is quick. You often have to share table with other diners. The place is popular with locals and travellers,... We went here twice, because the first time we were sat inside in the back room and it was too noisy to think straight. (Pro-top: if they ask if you'd like to sit inside, say no thanks. The turnaround is quick enough that you won't wait long for a table) The meat platter is ridiculously large. Absolutely the biggest meal... More

This place is busy because the portions are big, food is cheap and service fast. It's a shame the quality of food is so poor. Seafood risotto and goulash were bland and watery and the presentation was appalling. Overall disappointing.

Stayed in Split for four days and ate here three times, once for lunch and twice for dinner. I did a bit of research before I left for Split and this place kept popping up as one of the best places to eat on a budget. the owner of our hotel also pointed it out as a great affordable place... More
