And good food. White wine with fruit was great. Beet salad with goat cheese was all also great. The fish cakes ("chops" on the English menu) were a little bland at first but when you combine them with the green onions, tomato and salt they were really good.

Klarabara is one of the oldest and nicest Odessa restaurants which preserved all that great restaurants possess: quick and efficient service, fantastic food and cozy interior. The location is right in the middle of city park so you can enjoy huge lovely terrace with beautiful fountain view. I was particularly impressed with grilled vegetable salad, salad with grilled mushrooms and... More

When I have a chance to sit in Gorsad, I always do my best to get in. While this time we had a desserts-only visit, we have enjoyed the place as usually Probably city's best service, excellent desserts (strawberry soup+ice cream, napoleon layered cake and cheese-cake style cake (tvorozhnik) were all great. Also they serve belgian beer and zurra (white... More

This old timey restaurant has fresh breads, a wonderful ambience and the best cream of mushroom soup I've ever had. It looks like an old building that's been beautifully renovated, with a nice patio and Internet. Very nice.

I visited Odessa during the lent period. While I am a vegan, they had a "post" or "lent" menu which was very full and had plenty of options. The borsht was great and most of all, the house wine was cheap and very, good. The dumplings were awesome and the view onto the city garden was super. Give them a... More

the food is good, the location is great. I've been to this place several times and always come back for traditional Odessa food. Highly recommend going in when it's worm to enjoy their outdoor sitting.

The location in the heart of the city garden is perfect, but the prices are too high and to service is rude. We were going to eat dinner and tried to take a real restaurant table, but the head waiter wouldn't let us ("the tables are reserved for big groups" - well, there weren't any). So we had to take... The prices are not cheap, but the meals are good. I recommend quarter of a chicken - very tasty. We were a group of 10 people, and we stayed in the "library hall" - quite cosy. But of course weather permitting you can sit outside - a lot of tables around the City Gardens square.

We traveled with a group which limited itself the fish and vegetables and Klarabara produced a lunch for 15 people with 6 different salads of tomatoes, cucumbers, garlic and scallions, egg salads, curried eggplant, salmon and half a dozen cheeses, followed by delicious vegetable soup and grilled salmon. The eclectic atmosphere is fun to see and the park in front... More
