Good place to taste local specialitets at very nice location

Odessa cuisine is very close to Mediterranean one with Jewish, Greek, Ukrainian flavor. I have been visited Kalabara many times and would recommend to focus on starters and some main courses. They have nice anchovies or you could try butty with anchovies. One of the main local specialitets is... read more

Another frequent place, so expectations are very high Unfortunately this time I liked neither Napoleon cake (which is pretty consistent with them, but this time I really decided I don't like it) and baked cottage cheese cake which was also definitely not delicious Tea was good - herbal and honey plus lemon, service good, but cakes were not superb And... Ok it was a a summer Friday night but we waited nearly an hour for the wine to arrive and an hour and a half for the food. The food itself isn't great, particularly if you are a pescatarian. Nice surroundings.

Every time we are back to Odessa, we always pop in to Klarabara. It's been 3 years since our last visit & I must say, even though food was good-the menu has changed & the waiters were not as attentive as they used to be, in fact quite the opposite. We have still enjoyed our lunch, but didn't rush back... More

The menu is a little bit confusing at first sight because they have a lot of unusual items, but the food ended up being super delicious. It's mostly local cuisine with some of traditional items like Caeser salad etc. mixed in. The ambiance is very cool, too. There are a lot of stuff that you would see at home of... More

A very poor place. Waiters are very reluctant, not people-oriented at all. We had a pleasure to be served by few of them, even admin didn’t seem to be hospitable. We didn't have any major complaints, however didn't receive the pleasure. Food is ordinary, but prices are too high. The only advantage of the café -is lovely design and convenient... More

Have now eaten here three times... it is a great place, with a charming, quirky environment, friendly staff members, and great food. I love their forshmak and the warm mushroom salad. And their setting in the City Garden is great--you can sit outside when it's warm.

And good food. White wine with fruit was great. Beet salad with goat cheese was all also great. The fish cakes ("chops" on the English menu) were a little bland at first but when you combine them with the green onions, tomato and salt they were really good.

Klarabara is one of the oldest and nicest Odessa restaurants which preserved all that great restaurants possess: quick and efficient service, fantastic food and cozy interior. The location is right in the middle of city park so you can enjoy huge lovely terrace with beautiful fountain view. I was particularly impressed with grilled vegetable salad, salad with grilled mushrooms and... More

When I have a chance to sit in Gorsad, I always do my best to get in. While this time we had a desserts-only visit, we have enjoyed the place as usually Probably city's best service, excellent desserts (strawberry soup+ice cream, napoleon layered cake and cheese-cake style cake (tvorozhnik) were all great. Also they serve belgian beer and zurra (white... More
