So normally I am not a fan of thin pizza but holy cow their medio oriente pizza is flat out great. My wife really enjoys their burgers and the pumpkin ravioli is good too just on the small portion size. We really like the Chapin soup too. The drive and walk to the restaurant is always a pleasant part of... More

We live in Guatemala and always look for good places to take visitors and to have fun ourselves. This place was perfect! We experienced the 8 zip-lines (short course) with expert guides and good weather to accompany us, and enjoyed the thrills and the vast view. the place shows Antigua in its' glorious, and by itself is very beautiful -... We caught the free trolley just as it was leaving its hotel (Hotel Santo Domingo) and the ride was so fun and lovely. We didn't have a car, so this is a great way to get out of town briefly and see an overview of it. We enjoyed wandering the grounds - it looks like quite an ambitious undertaking. We... More

Tenedor del Cerro is not in any way a typical Guatemalan restaurant. It is a very well done upper end restaurant with relatively moderate prices. We have been here multiple times and each time we are drawn to their ribs, pizzas, salads. We have always enjoyed really attentive service here. The restaurant is a part of the larger complex -... I thought the food here was excellent, good fine dining standard and still a fraction of the price it would be back home. Grounds also very interesting. Service attentive. Only small thing was that the interior got a bit cold when it clouded over due to fee airflow under roof canopy.

Let's start off on a good note. The grounds around the restaurant and the restaurant itself are spectacular, breath taking, in fact. There are a lot of wait staff. End of good part. The food is mediocre at best. Some of it was too nasty to eat. The waiters were often impossible to get hold of. The prices are out... More

Our medical team went here for an end of trip celebration and it was wonderful. Amazing scenery, great food (I had the pasta putanesca) and super atmosphere. They handled our large group of 20 easily and cheerfully. Loved it! Hope to visit again sometime in the future.

Went for lunch to this restaurant on top of a hill just a little bit outside the Antigua. It is run by the same company that manages Hotel Santo Domingo. The way up is very picturesque and the view is very nice once you get to the top. Try to get a table overlooking the terrace. There is a short... More

After you've come to know Antigua from the street, it's time to head up the Cerro (big hill) and get a bird's eye view. Make a day of it, eat lunch at Casa Santo Domingo, visit the 7 museums & ruins on site, and then catch their free tram that whisks you up to El Tenedor. Try to arrive before... More

With a title like this one, there is little more that can be said about this restaurant in Antigua, especially its location on the hill over looking Antigua. Judging from the crowd, it is a very popular place both visitors and Guatemaltecos. On a clear day, the view is spectacular and the buffet more than adequate. The Hotel Santo Domingo... More
