Ranking #2, as of this writing, out of 230 restaurants in Antigua’s very competitive restaurant scene, Metiz may not need another redundant positive review. Except, perhaps, to say that its croque-madame alone would make it one of the best brunch places in Antigua. They open at 10am.

I first discovered Metiz last December, and have been multiple times since. They create very nice sandwiches, salads and desserts and I've never been disappointed. The ingredients taste fresh, the bread for the sandwiches is excellent, and the service is nice. Located on a street great for people watching, it is nice to sit at the window and see people... More

Loved this little french bistro in the middle of Antigua, Guatemala. It was recommended to us by a friend and we had a delicious lunch there!

Went there for lunch and sat at the table next to the window and actually felt a little bit like when I traveled to Paris! Had the Hummus and the Carpaccio, both really good! I had the Jambon Beurre (ham and butter) sandwich, so good. Almost as good as the ones I ate in Paris. Good prices and really nice... More

This is the restaurant where you need to go if you are in Antigua. The menu includes typical french dishes like "quiche lorraine" and others dishes. It's a really beautifull place the atmosphere is very friendly and pleasant. If you don't have any idea where to go, choose this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

This is a small sandwich place near the center of town that, despite poor ventilation (it was a hot day in Antigua), serves excellent Panini at a good price. We loved the “Italian,” which included prosciutto, lettuce, tomato and pesto. Go to La Metiz for lunch – you won’t be disappointed!

I am a big cheese fan and the options are definitely limited in Guatemala. I was so happy when i discovered this place! They have a great selection and their sandwiches and sweets are great too. Yum!

We had the pasta and it was delicious with a very generous portion. The prices are amazing and the location is great (one block off the square). Definitely would go back again.
