One of the best cups of coffee I’ve ever had (outside of Italy). Definitely recommend stopping here for a cup.

Great coffee, free wi-fi, nice ambiance. Just note it's a block or two farther south than it says on the map. 7th Ave N between 3rd and 4th Calle.

The Refuge is my go-to coffee shop when I'm staying in Antigua. The coffee is roasted to perfection, the staff is super friendly, and the wifi is free. I always end up taking more than 10 bags to keep me going until my next trip in. The best you will find!

I had my first "flow over" coffee here, and the owner was nice enough to explain the process as he went about making it. Drank it along with an expresso brownie while tapping into the free wifi. It's a small cafe with a cool vibe.

I have been to Antigua 15 times and it was not until last summer that I found Refuge. They roast the coffee for me. It is hard to find a french roast in Guatemala and they do a great job. I took home 8 bags!

This is a stripped back, all about the coffee, roasting, grinding, cozy little coffee den. They're serious about their coffee here and will happily chat to you about it while you sip on your joe. The coffee was very good - certainly one of, if not the best, in Antigua - without warranting an amazing hashtag by world standards (or... More

It supposed to be a place where coffee fans not only can have a nice espresso, but also can have a chat about coffee. The time we choose to pop by, the latter was difficult. It seemed the owner was too busy roasting a batch, and couldn´t spare a moment.

Awesome coffee place, espresso heaven! They really know their stuff, drinks where served to perfection with awesome presentation and taste. Roasting is done inside the shop, make sure you visit and try their coffee.

Refuge Coffee Bar is a great little place with excellent coffee from local sources and fair prices paid to the growers. Sweet spot!

A great discovery for the likes of a serious coffee lover like me. They are serious about their coffee and it reflects in their presentation of it. Worth the walk, and the sip of the fantastic brew.
