Friendly space with interesting food

The service was average, the food was good. We were sat on a table way too close to the kitchen so it was not peaceful at all. They delayed our food for quite a while and we were "forgotten" by our waiter (change of shift). The horchata was delicious.

Not too large or crowded, good food and good service. there are 3 of these within a block so if one is busy you can go to another. the menu is the same for all.

great location. Very close to Central Park, lovely ambience and decor. Outside seating in courtyard style. Lovely setting. Open clean rustic kitchen. Nice staff. Amazing delicious food. Good for vegetarians too.

We loved the soft tamales at Fonda, and the ambience is special. The service was good and the prices are quite reasonable.

One of the best restaurants in Antigua Guatemala, high cuisine with many dishes you will only find in Guatemala, the decoration is also unique, nice atmosphere as well as food quality. Highly recommended for people that love unique food from the country (typical food), it is also advised to visit the place with someone from Guatemala so that they give... More

We ate lunch there on Feb 14. The service was very slow, even though they had few customers. I ordered a vegetarian plate. Instead of getting a plate of vegetables, I got a bowl of soup with two small slices of a white vegetable (not potato) and 3 green beans. The soup itself was not very good. The dinner may... More

We were hungry and needed an attractive place to sit down for lunch. This little place was perfect. Ice cold bottled beers and frosted glasses. And, reasonably priced. Guacamole was excellent, fresh tasting and not over onioned or stretched with tomatoes. Generous serving with the best chips. Cannot believe that a prior review hated it. Pepian sauce was nicely prepared.... More

We had been told by several people that this place was one of the best in town, well we'd hate to eat in the second best. The atmosphere was inviting enough and the menu looked appealing with both traditional and local specialties. We split a guacamole appetizer that was by far the blandest we have ever had anywhere and served... More

The Pepian sauce here is outstanding. We went twice in two days because it was so good. The second time was the best, we went for all the vegetables: Vegetarian Pepian, with lots of Chayote squash was wonderful, the grilled tomatoes, perfect black beans with farmers cheese, grilled green onions, fantastic green salsa picante, and delicious homemade tortillas. Great with... More
