Unfortunately I had an unpleasant experience with their food! I've ask just a bowl of steam rice without anything else in it! So I had received a white rice with seeds oil and vegetable, I didn't expected there was seed oil in it. So I've eat. After a while I am facing the consequence after a while. I've talk with... More

So day after Thanksgiving we found this lovely recommended restaurant for amazing soup, guacamole, and margaritas.. While they have an extensive menu, soup was a must. Bill Clinton even ate here in the late 1990's. Pricey for Antigua but portions are more than ample

Stopped here for lunch, and the inner courtyard is delightful. The grill is on the back wall and the smells linger within the restaurant. Waitstaff dressed in local attire, menu selection great...prices vary enough for all tastes/budgets...not cheap, but can get a good meal for a good price. Opted for Guatemalan plate of the day......was great!!!

If you want to experience good Guatemalan Food at moderate to high price range in a pleasant atmosphere this is the place. I prefer the Calle 3 location as it is quieter than the other locations. They always have Guatemalan Specialties like Pepian and Caq Ik (a turkey stew). We had a choice of tortillas or tamalitos (steamed bread dough)... More

After walking town we were so happy to find this quiet spot. We had lunch in the court yard and it was great. I would go back for sure.

We went to this restaurant because of all the rave reviews we heard, but we wished we had not. The waitress ruined it all! First of all, when we were seated I noticed a dead fly on the table, so I called over someone who I think was a Manager. She changed the tablecloth and then left quickly. Then our... More

I always eat here while in Antigua to experience the Guatemalan cuisine. While there are three locations in town, I prefer the "least visited" one - around the corner from the other two. I like the courtyard and intimate seating. We both ordered the pepian de pollo. It was very good, but not as Excellent as I remembered it before.... More

This is the first place we ate in Antigua after we arrived and were starving! We headed to the heart of town to find a bank and this was near by. It's a little touristy and we paid more here than a few local joints we found later in our stay but the meal was great and still very reasonable.

I have eaten at La Fonda many times- it is a regular stop for our American service group passing through Antigua. There are three locations- one is tiny and has a limited menu, one is a little more high end-ish, and my personal favorite is in the middle, and located right on road of El Arco. The smell of grilling meat...
