Just - GREAT !

This is my last evening in Antigua, so I could say, this was the best meal I had here. The roasted tomato starter was great ! So good looking that my next table also ordered one after. The Gouda cheese on top was so-so in my opinion, but the dish overall was excellent I had the daily special... read more

We hit this place the first night in Antigua, just happened to be walking down the street and heard soulful funk music being played, then we caught the delicious aroma! It was a bit of a tight fit, but our dining neighbours were happy to accommodate. The food was fantastic, simple, yet elegantly executed. Good wines to be had, as... More

I discovered Hector's four years ago on my first visit to Antigua and have dined there six times over five trips. The food, service and atmosphere are excellent. I think I have tried everything on their limited menu over the years and each dish has been fabulous. On my most recent trip I had the beef medallions. My traveling companions... More

The food was very good. The restaurant has a good Trip Advisor rating. The service was excellent. The downside was the space. Highly recommend this as a place to visit.

Small, crowded and sometimes a wait? YES. DO IT. You will not be disappointed. Try the shrimps, sautéed in butter and garlic; Roasted tomatoes with gouda cheese, balsamic, olive oil, garlic and fresh basil. My friends rave about the Duck. Wines are decent and affordable. When my group was kept waiting they were served wine on the half wall across... More

This restaurant deserves it's top rating on TripAdvisor. The filet mignon was divine, the atmosphere charming and the service attentive. Excellent wine selection.

Simple menu, very well executed. good prices for the quality. very crowded place so can be a little claustrophic, but that's part of the charm

this place is small and fancy, but the food is five star. its a small two room place with many tables crammed in, and its always busy. we shared the sweet potato fries (yummy and come with house made ketchup!) and also the beef bourignon. wow. amazing dynamic flavors and perfectly cooked beef with potato medallions on top. the prices... This was my fifth or sixth time at Hector's in three visits to Antigua over the past three years. The menu has barely change, but hey, why mess around with a good thing! What they do, they do well. This may be the best meal you have in Antigua. I love the tomato and cheese appetizer and my mouth still... More

My friends and I visited this restaurant for a late dinner on a Monday night. On our 15 minute walk to Hector's we passed multiple empty restaurants but when we got to Hector's we were met by a packed house. The host told us there would be a wait of 15-25 minutes. Two of the people in my party had... More
