Guatemala meets french

This is a busy little place w/ tight tables, but that's how we met the couple next to us! The charred tomato salad w/ house made burrito was YUM. The duck was great w/ a 5 spice rub & also the ribeye w/ gorgonzola. Nice wine, great atmosphere! A real gem.

This is a fairly small restaurant- but the atmosphere and food is Excellent- The service was great and the owners were friendly - overall I would highly recommend this as a must eat place when you are in Antigua.

We come to Hectors year after year and find the food and service very reliable. It's a very small space and not good for groups, best for 2-4. Our favourite menu item continues to be the roasted tomatoes with gouda cheese. The beef was tenderloin was good but we did find the blackened spices on the duck were overpowering. The... More

Our roasted tomatoes & Gouda cheese prices rose from $5 to $7 dollars ($0.25 dollares yearly) since we opened back in 2008. Being from Canada you should know that fresh Guatemalan vegetables, Dutch cheese, New Zealander cream, Canadian duck and Nicaraguan meat prices have risen quite a bit in the past 8 years. We also live in a country with... More

Simply, just go! We stumbled upon this place and were blown away. We all had a mojito to start with, they included, the special-tangerine, classic and strawberry all made with fresh ingredients and I can truly say it was the best mojito I have ever had (strawberry) Another day, we tried the strawberry margarita also, which was so good it's... OK, the restaurant is tiny, decor basic, the tables close together, difficult to get a table in prime dining hours, and perhaps just a little loud. But what lovely food comes out of the tiny kitchen. We loved the place. We lucked out and snagged a table abutting the bar on a busy Saturday night after just a 5 minute... More

Foodgasm. Best restaurant in Antigua. Prices are up there BUT you get what you pay for. We had the carpaccio, Jumbo shrimp, grilled duck. All were amazing including the Vanilla ice cream with olive oil and black pepper. Tiny place but huge on flavour.

We arrived on a Saturday night. It was very busy and they said it would be half hour but it was at least 45minutes wait. There were others in front of us and they were given glasses of wine. We were not even offered. The people were Guatemalan but it was not right. The food was good. We had the... More

This cozy restaurant has a counter which doubles as the bar, menu blackboard, and hand over from the stove to the server. The tables are a few feet away. The decor is wonderful and the food! I had the fish and potatoes and spinach special was lovingly prepared. Cuss! It is a bit hard to find but if you are... More
