Best oatmeal pancakes ever with homemade syrup, great breakfast place. Try the Cappuchino! They also have beautiful desserts and lots of food gifts you can take home.
It's not fancy food, but they have great breakfasts and lunch and have free refills on coffee which is unusual here. Their pancakes are great and there is a new flavor every day in addition to the regular selections. The setting is in a beautiful old house right on the Central Park. Oh yes, If you are not on a... Outside our rental house, this is where we spend most of our time in Antigua. A combination of its location in the heart of the town (right across the street from central park) and it's amazing coffee and refreshing juices (we liked the tamarindo and watermelon juice the best) make it the perfect stop between shopping and exploring. The food... More
You won't be disappointed by this place! My friends and I went this past week and loved every bit of it. Sit in the courtyard by the fountain for the best atmosphere. Their bread is all homemade and to die for! We ended up going back a couple days later, our favorite lunchtime spot in all of Antigua. Very affordable... More
I went to Antigua with some friends of mine from Guatemala City. After having lunch at another restaurant, I asked them to take me to the best cafeteria in town, since I was feeling like eating something sweet. They didn't think it twice, and they took me to 'Café Condesa'. I absolutely loved the place! Just going into this cafeteria... More
We went to have lunch at Cafe Condesa this past weekend. The sandwiches were great. So was the salad that accompanied them. But,nearing the end of the sandwich my wife was eating was a long black hair imbedded within the sandwich.. We mentioned it to the waitress and she said it must have been my wifes hair. Well that was... More
I am so, so very sorry. Certainly the waitress should have called over a manager and your entire meal should have been on the house. Do you still have your receipt? Could you give me a ticket number or any information to help me discover who the waitress was? The waitresses all wear nametags. Do you remember yours? All of... More
We went for sunday brunch and were very disappointed. There are htels in ANtigua that also offer bruch specials for the same price with 3 or 4 times the menu items offered at Cafe Condessa, There are no sausages or tocino offered for their breakfast brunch which to us is a basix staple of a sunday brunch. The eggs were... More
So sorry that you did not like our Sunday Brunch! It's been an Antigua institution for over 20 years. If the eggs were cold, you could have complained to a manager.... we use chafing dishes and there is no excuse for the eggs being cold. Folks usually love our selection of scrambled eggs, refried beans, fresh salsa, pancakes with cream... More
Great breakfast in the garden of Café Condesa. Had the French toast with the option of wheat or white bread. Warm syrup served with the meal and a generous portion of cantaloupe. Would eat there again.
The French Toast is one of my favorites, too! So glad you liked it. We appreciate your taking the time to give us a review and we look forward to serving you again in the future. Warm regards, More
what a quaint little cafe. The group and I just wanted a sandwich for lunch and stumbled across the cafe by accident. The restaurant seating area is nestled around all these open courtyards. The sandwiches were great and you could order just a half if you wanted. They also came with either potato salad, much like German style or a... More
Thank you for your lovely recommendation... we do love our gardens and fountains.... and are so glad you enjoyed your meal. We look forward to serving you again on your next visit. Warm regards! More
I wish I could give this place a higher score since it's on the street by the park. But there is no view to the park and the food is at best mediocre. Even the simple breakfast of french toast was done poorly. Cold toast and tasteless. But I would eat there again if everyone else wanted to. I just... More
Sorry for your bad experience. I wish you´d sent your order back if it wasn't to your satisfaction. We aim to please. Our French Toast is one of my favorites on our homemade breads... rich and custardy with fresh cream. While we have no view of the park, we are located in a beautiful colonial home with beautiful gardens and... More
