Brunch was unspectacular but STILL well worth the $$

Great views 20 floors up(or whatever). Food was great. Omelette station was great. Service was great. Was hoping for a bit more, but the volume of people was not there to support anything more spectacular. Was not wowed, but enjoyed the atmosphere and view.

Beautiful atmosphere but expensive and the food is not always worth the price. When the food is not great, the staff is not very interested in making sure guests leave happy.

We were here with our kids, who are celebrating their first wedding anniversary. Cocktails and small plates are always amazing, The ribeye hamburger with fries was perfect. And the views are second to none ! Jim and Linda Munro Korner Kottage B & B Suttons Bay, MI

Server was one of the best I've ever had. Food was good and fairly priced, venue was perfect at sunset. Décor and such were not anything remarkable. Not sure if restaurant is run by the hotel but entire facility could use a good cleaning. Hotel, elevators and restaurant felt slightly dirty. Water and wine glasses were cloudy and not clean.... We had a group of 4 related couples for dinner. The view was very nice overlooking the lake and golf course from the 14 floor. Our waiter was very good .... keeping our drinks refreshed and making sure everyone was happy. The menu was limited but we all found items of interest. The scallop dish was very good.

We met friends for Sunday brunch on a beautiful summer morning. Considering the view from the 16th floor of the Grand Traverse Resort, we were enveloped by the panoramic scenery. Brunch consisted of a choice of a welcoming mimosa, sparkling wine, or a fully garnished Virgin Mary. And then the buffet: an omelette station, soup of the day, salad bar,... More

Rack of lamb was good, but we've had better. Mahi mahi was "just ok, too much filler, not enough mahi mahi". Filet was tender but no flavor. Deserts, which were a cherry something and a blueberry something were the "skimpiest deserts ever". The view is great, our server was terrific but the cost is just crazy.

We went with two couples, everyone's meals were excellent but really the view cannot be beat. I'd definitely recommend for dinner, but even just stopping in for a cocktail and a view is well worth the trip.

The chef here really knows his stuff. From the amuse bouche to the delicately flavored and perfectly portioned dessert, this dinner was amazing. First there is the "room with a view" and what a view! The rolling green golf course and the waters of Grand Traverse Bay wrap around the room and it is spectacular. The decor is soft and... More
