We chose to get take out at Sayle's based upon their ratings here on Trip Advisor. We ordered fried clam strips, fried calamari, clam chowder and chicken fingers. Unfortunately, the best thing was the chicken fingers. The calamari looked like onion rings- not freshly made. The chowder was ok, not the best. The clam strips were fair. It was pretty... More

It was mediocre. Ask for special offers. Pricing is sneaky. As we were gathering our lobsters, the couple ahead if us mentioned a 8.95 special for lobsters. When we returned to the counter the lady said, no you have to buy 3 lb lobsters !! We bought 3, 2lb lobsters for 13.95 lb and could have bought 3, 3lb lobsters... More

Food is awesome, love the fried fish sandwich! Great take out spot. Service is just average, when I asked about how long my order would be, the woman behind the counter just shrugged and said "I don't know, ready when it's ready. Don't go far cuz I don't want to go looking for you" But it's August and they have... More

We had the lobster clambake. Pick up was easy, lobster/clams/mussels were all very good, rest of package was ok. Good vacation meal, as nobody had to cook and clean up was easy.

It is what it is. A fish shop where you can buy a full lobstah dinner and either eat it there or take it home. And a very good value. If you eat it there, you are simply buying your dinner at the counter, and grabbing a simple table outside. My lobster was great. The more "refined" meals (stuffed sole,... More

This is a fish and lobster retail shop that also has a few tables outside where you can eat your lunch or dinner. Whole lobster dinners to take out of eat on the porch. Lobster, corn, potato, clam chowder bag of steamers!! WOW or choose the lobster of your choice out of the tanks up to 4+ pounds. Fried shrimp,... More

We bought several live lobsters here to take out and cook at home (the house we rented in Dionis). We also got littleneck and steamers, and everything was delicious. We ate here one night that we couldn't be bothered to cook the lobster at home, and everything was perfect (albeit in a simple presentation) - nothing over or under cooked,... More

If you are ok with a hole in the wall ...where the locals go for take-out than this is hands down the best value for Nantucket Lobster!! Seating outside on the porch. No frills...but beautiful view of the harbor! Lobster was fantastic!!

Sayle's is just what you hope for in a rustic, water setting. As others have said, it is very unpretentious but the food could not be fresher or better. The clam chowder is what you hope clam chowder to be: creamy, smooth and full of clams. I ordered the fried fish sandwich (with sole as my choice of fish) and... More

We asked someone who visits the island often where the best seafood on Nantucket is. We were told that we must go to Sayles. He was right. If you are looking for fish right off the boat in a very casual setting this is the place. We went for lunch and sampled steamers, stuffed quahogs, lobster bisque and fried clams.... More
