Old style Tavern and restaurant

While staying at the Martin Inn I asked about someplace to eat light. Lisa, my inn-keeper, suggested Brotherhood of Thieves. She said it served seafood, burgers, sandwiches, etc. I arrived here during the off-season in December 2015 so it was not busy. Upon entering you immediately wait for your... read more

Arrived on Nantucket around 3PM and in the off season, Seven Seas Innkeeper, Matt, recommended it for being open this late in the day and man, it hit the spot! Margaritas were awesome and their version of Poutain was good as was the clam chowder. The bartender was also very informative in suggesting things to do on the island!

"Off season" it is harder to find a good place to eat on the island that is open. We were pleasantly surprised. Exceptionally nice people with very good hamburgers, lobster rolls, etc.. All perfectly cooked and well presented. These folks obviously take pride in their work.

We heard about this restaurant from many on the Island and just had to try. Not a disappointment. So delicious and the Cisco Beer was a perfect compliment to my lunch! Can't wait to go back!

Came here for lunch in October and had fish & chips and some seafood "chowda". Food was ok but I thought expensive for what you get. But then you're in Nantucket. But even comparing for in the area, was not impressed. Service was so so and they seemed quite tired of having to deal with "tourists". My response to this... More

I had never been to the Brotherhood of Thieves before, but it was strongly suggested to us. We had a great meal, appetizers and drinks. The atmosphere was just perfect -- very nice with brick walls, dark tables and lighting and a roaring fire!

I can't say it was bad but it wasn't great either. It took forever to get our food, we were crowded into a tiny space and had to shout to be heard. The food was "ok" but nothing special. It is dark and old but doesn't feel authentic. Had heard about it so had to try it. I didn't think... More

Good food, good people, comfortable atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and the vibe is definitely casual and comfy on a cold winter's day.

We stopped in on NYE for a couple of drinks and a snack. The upstairs bar is cozy and charming - downstairs was packed so we headed up. Our bartender was friendly and helpful and was happy to run downstairs for a bottle of Hendricks to make my French 75 which he happily looked up the recipe for. Homemade pretzels... More
