A group of us dined here the last night before the restaurant closed for the season. The view from the beach was stunning, one of the prettiest sunsets ever! However, our server Paulo, was rude and snotty from the very first minute we were seated. He even followed us to the door to tell us we hadn't tipped him enough!!... More

My son and his now wife had their ceremony and reception at Galley Beach this past weekend and it could not have been more beautiful! The staff was attentive and courteous-the food superb. Raw bar was amazing- drinks were yum! We could no find one thing we didn't like.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful evening at The Galley Beach Restaurant during restaurant week on Nantucket. The setting will take your breath away...right on the beach and sunsets are to die for. Service is 4 star and the appetizers thru desserts were absolutely the best. For my appetizer I had a "Pumpkin Veloute, parmesan crusted sea scallops, pumpkinseed... More

Food is good but staff are just not quite as helpful as they might be which is a shame. The location right on the beach makes this place a must although weddings take it out of action for 3 days at a time with the marquee spoiling the lovely views.

Attended a wedding there this past weekend. Setting was spectacular, food and service were spot on (beef tenderloin was cooked to perfection and everyone was served HOT food, which is beyond ideal). The band had everyone dancing until the 10:00 curfew, and I don't think anyone had a bad word to say. Can't say enough in praise of this venue!

Very good restaurant with excellent food and spectacular location on beach in Nantucket. Tried the halibut and cod main courses and both were excellent. Service and atmosphere were very good and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Would rate this restaurant the best one during our stay on Nantucket!

We visited Nantucket the second week in September. We stopped here on our first night and were lucky enough to arrive early enough to get the front table on the beach in the sand to witness a magnificant sunset. We had a couple of glasses of wine and the bruchetta appetizer which was all fantastic. The service was great by... More

We were treated to dinner as a wedding present. The location was beautiful and the sunset stunning! Food was imaginative , delicious and varied. Service was great. Worth going for special occasion, pricey. Only complaint was that the chairs were exceptionally uncomfortable, I have never encountered this before!

Have a drink first sitting in comfortable chaos and sofas with fire-pit tables before dining to catch the sunset. A romantic, but cool vibe. Loved the pork belly appetizer.

Views are superb. Sunsets beautiful. Probably better for lunch than dinner. Can be very noisy at night. Food expensive for value received even on Nantucket. Chef inflexible this year for substitutions and special requests. Staff courteous and service generally good. Not to be missed.
