If you want a great place to go for drinks before dinner this is the place to go. Incredible views and attentive bar service. I wish I could say the same for dinner. If you want an intimate dinner this is not the place to go. Extremely loud making hard to have a discussion. The food was inconsistent. My escargot... More

Staff was attentive and food was excellent. My wife enjoyed the quiche and I had the halibut tostada Both were great. Upscale crowd and great beach front setting.

Exquisite cuisine - sweetbreads, roasted vegetable medley, and poached halibut were all outstanding, matching a great ocean view on a sandy beach under setting sun. Not inexpensive.

If you want a beachside restaurant with an outstanding view of sunsets, then this is your only place on Nantucket. You can literally eat on the beach, or on the porch overlooking the beach. The food is very good. There's also a nice cocktail scene out on the beach in comfortable seating.

On our way to Nantucket we saw a review of the Galley restaurant and beach and decided to walk to it from the Ferry. It's a straight shot, along a beautiful road and takes about 20 minutes. The restaurant is very comfortable. With views from every seat. The service was very kind and professional. We were seated and had our... More

We recently visited Nantucket for our honeymoon and Galley Beach looks like a great spot for an upscale dinner. We were fortunate to hit restaurant week, so everything on their menu was prix-fixe. we took advantage of a lobster dish and Wagyu beef. delish. we loved the cookies and milk dessert. sunset was spectacular. i only wish it would have... Went for dinner with my wife during restaurant week to see if all the hype was true, I was so underwhelmed I asked for the check early and left before finishing the meal. The noise level was so high I was reminded of Grand Central during rush hour. My wife and I literally could not carry on a conversation. The... More

Great waitstaff and cuisine, The appetizers were good but so much exotic shellfish/seafood,only.. would've preferred more, even vegetarian choices as well, (cheaper on the bride and groom's budget, too). Very nice filet and halibut entrees. Great ambience on the beach!
