I had the cheesesteak at the Downey flake and it was phenomenal ! I certainly recommend it. 😄The last time I went I had grilled cheese which was also very good! If you go to Nantucket I say that this is a very good restaurant !🍴

Recommended by a resident and did not disappoint. Very high quality ingredients and we loved the donut. Their donut was even featured in a dessert where we had dinner.

With our bicycles, we rode here for a sumptuous homestyle breakfast. Most all are locals so you get to feel like a "non tourist" eating here.

The blueberry pancakes and the blueberry syrup are incomparable ! It's worth the wait to get seated ! It's an annual treat for us to go there.

My husband and I had breakfast here a week ago. He had the blueberry pancakes which he liked. I had an omelet; I thought it was too greasy, I think there was a load of butter in it (I had a hard time eating it). The service was great, very friendly. Coffee was also very good. I would go back,... More

We were there on a very busy week. Consequently, we weren't able to get a table so we ordered take out and ate on the bench outside. We could have waited for 20 minutes but the fam was starving after the bike ride! Great egg sandwiches and outof this world donuts! The pancakes looked gooood. Next time!

Great island institution -- in season get there EARLY -- as in before 7:30 early to avoid the lines. Traditional breakfast fare -- good coffee -- right across from Stop & Shop. When parking is an issue (and in season it almost always is), park at S&S and cross the street.

Okay: both take-out and breakfast at this place is excellent. The doughnuts are awesome....love the chocolate, plain, and sugar!!!! The food is also great. My omelet was perfect, and the bacon wasn't overcooked (which is always a plus!!!) AND there are great options for both kids and us parents. Could it get any better? Oh wait, yeah it can...the service... More

How could anyone not like this place?!? While we waited for a table, we enjoyed a chocolate donut and cup of coffee. The restaurant is a typical-looking diner, with not so typical food. I loved the portuguese bread and the blueberry pancakes were scrumptuous. Definitely worthwhile to check out when on the island.

My husband compares every pancake he eats to the Downyflake pancakes. Downyflake always win. I have poached eggs with toasted oatmeal bread. Must try the homemade old fashion doughnuts. We love it here. Be patient you may have to wait. It is clean and always worth a visit. Not a lot of Nantucket charm in this new location, however worth... More
