We have been coming to Nantucket for 15 consecutive years as out kifs grew up. We usually eat in... Last summer was the first time we had a really bad experience where they forgot our dinners and needed our table. The food is great by the way, but the service has become worse than terrible. This year we had the... More

On a cold night, I thought I'd order some tempura udon to get warm. For anyone expecting the thick, succulent noodle that udon is--think again. This was a watery, flavorless dish with noodles that we reminiscent of overcooked spaghetti. The soup base was unlike any other udon dish I'd ever had--and NEVER hope to have again. Sushi was ok, but... More

We thought sushi and BYO sounded like a nice night. This place is mostly takeout-with about 7 tables and the sushi bar. We sat at the sushi bar. You cannot see the sushi being made-and the chef did not look up or around. The other staff must have been having a bad night-they were indifferent and almost seemed like they... More

You can get sushi cheaper on the mainland but the sushi was very fresh and delicious. A basic tuna roll was $11 (which you can get for $6 anywhere else) but again the tuna was very fresh. Yoshi knows what he is doing. We enjoyed it so much we went there twice during our stay.

We loved this place! We ordered take out for lunch. It was a nice change from sandwiches. We would definitely recommend.

It sounded like bedlam in the restaurant on a Saturday night - we ordered and hour ahead and carried - out. Very good and very expensive - about $100 each without drinks..though we did over-order by a little.

Surprised that there aren't more sushi places downtown. This one is small, but very good. Great for lunch, or for takeout.

This BYO drinks has suffered in quality since our last visit a couple of years ago. The sushi is adequate, but soups and noodle dishes are sad. We did talk to the management who is working to improve its once stellar reputation.

I took my 12 year old there for lunch in June. I am really sorry, but this place is HIGHLY OVERPRICED. We ordered 3 roll, 2 nigiri pieces, 1 miso soup, 2 bowls of steamed rice, 3 drinks= 70.00 with tip! Are you serious already? We were on the island for an entire month, so we had the opportunity to... We have been to Sushi by Yoshi several times for lunch while vacationing on Nantucket. We have always had really flavorful sushi at a reasonable cost by Nantucket standards. It is BYOB and that makes it even more affordable. We enjoyed the Nantucket Ocean roll and the eel on California roll, seaweed salad and the Udon soup. All were fresh... More
