Delicious food, though the menu could be more creative. A lovely spot for dining...not too noisy, perfect for conversation.

My husband and I go to Oran Mar every time we are on island. It seems we have always been seated in the lounge area after finally having walked through the entire restaurant this trip. We find it to be a staple with delicious food( small menu offerings) service is always great. We've never been disappointed and their is no... More

Starts with a great bar and specialty cocktails that I usually don't order. Try one. Food is inventive, versatile and excellent. Service was very good and helpful for my wife's gluten allergy. And knowledgeable. The rooms are very attractive with a lot of space between them- how often do you find this in Nantucket? I go to a lot of... More

This restaurant is small and is the case during high season in Nantucket requires a reservation. I always try eat seafood while in town and their fish is very good with excellent sides and preparation. If you feel the need to have meat they also have a great steak and lamb or duck. Try to get a seat in the... More

Make reservations well ahead. The menu, though not huge, offers a variety of eclectic apps and main courses. The sautéed marinated calamari app was quite large, and delicious. the yellowfin tuna crudo was stained red by all of the beets used in its preparation! Also delectable. My wife had two apps, I had one and a main fish course. The... More

Oran Mor is the best restaurant we ate at on Nantucket. We were lucky to obtain a table, and would recommend booking early and confirming (standard Nantucket practice). Everything about the restaurant is excellent. The ambience is quiet, allowing peaceful conversation, without intrusions from other tables. The service is really professional, and we particularly appreciated the intelligence with which our... More

We live on Nantucket. Grabbed a last minute reservation and sat in the bar. Our server was very competent as was the wine steward. Food was excellent. Lamb chop was perfectly seasoned. Duck was very tender. With their help we found a pinot that paired beautifully. Wrapped it all up with some cheese. I very nice meal on Nantucket.

We dined at 9:30 at Oran Mor, having gotten our reservation on Open Table that afternoon (and it was the only time remaining for 4 people). OT gave it $$ two dollar signs, out of 4, meaning it wasn't as outrageously overpriced as many places in Nantucket Town. For four people with four entrees, one appetizer, several cocktails and one...
