The restaurant has a lovely ambiance (Provence meets Nantucket) however the food tasted pre-prepared or pre-cooked and then overly "sauced". The sauces are complex and very flavorful, but the underlying seafood is tasteless and it doesn't feel or taste fresh - a bit like catered food at a formal function. We had shrimp, duck and halibut and they all had... More

Sunday night dinner for two. Comfortable bistro in a homey setting. Relaxed atmosphere. Friendly service. While the menu has great seafood options, after a couple of days of eating seafood, we decided to steer clear of it. We started by sharing a chanterelle and duck sausage, which they were kind enough to split for us. For main courses we chose... More

A lovely restaurant with attentive service and excellent food. Dining is in several smaller rooms so that there are only a few tables per area, which makes it easier to carry on a conversation.

I came in for a quiet dinner and great food and that's exactly what I got. Everyone in town mentioned how great the food is so I wanted to taste it for myself. I sat at the bar and asked Andrea to help decide what to order and her selection was fantastic. I started with the trio of foie gras... More

Great things do cone in small packages. While vacationing in Nantucket we were looking for great fresh, fresh seafood and we found it at Oran Mor. The dishes are unique and interesting. The staff was friendly and service was great.

We booked here after reading the reviews - and it was even better than we thought. The tables were small and somewhat intimate. We liked the atmosphere although it was nothing particularly special. First, the only negative - it twice took 10 to 12 minutes for a drink order to arrive. My wife ordered wine, which came right away, but... More

Oran Mor has some of the best service and food on the island. If you are looking for a restaurant that is quintessentially Nantucket, look no further. You will not be disappointed.

On a recent visit in May to Nantucket celebrating my son's birthday and graduation from dental school we visited Oran Mor for dinner. We have been here several times in the past and without exception the food and service is outstanding. This clearly is one of the best restaurants on Nantucket. It is a do not miss.

Heard a lot about the restaurant and decided to try it out for restaurant week. Honestly i think it is way ,way over rated. The service was close to zero, wine was good and the food was ok. Nothing special about the interior .
