After reading many good reviews we ate in Oran Mor Wednesday evening. The service was slow and the food was not fresh. It did rain heavily that day so I can assume no fresh food deliveries were made. We were sitting in the very back room, which could account for the slow service. We left without taking a chance on... More

Oran Mor was a splurge night for me, and it was worth it. The food was phenomenal. We visited the night of the hurricane, so the chef sent out a free first course. I ordered the steak, and it was cooked perfectly. I highly recommend Oran Mor.

This was an amazing dining experience. The hotel concierge made us the reservation and when I see her, I have to thank her. The food and service were terrific! The restaurant is lovely and intimate. It is situated on the second floor of what was at one time a house. The service is helpful without being overbearing. We had: Different... More

We had an 8:30PM table. After we were seated we tried the foie gras and it is wonderful. They have a nice wine selection that we paired with dinner. Great attentive service. Would definitely come back when on the island again.

We had not been to Oran Mar in a while, boy were we missing something! Service was impeccable, not stuffy. Dining was intimate, and food beyond belief! The wine selections are excellent and vintages good. Go up those stairs and enjoy one of Nantucket's BEST dining experiences!

Haven't been here in a long time. Lovely staff and nice relaxing vibe. French 77 cocktail is wonderful! Food and service are very good.

The restaurant has a lovely ambiance (Provence meets Nantucket) however the food tasted pre-prepared or pre-cooked and then overly "sauced". The sauces are complex and very flavorful, but the underlying seafood is tasteless and it doesn't feel or taste fresh - a bit like catered food at a formal function. We had shrimp, duck and halibut and they all had... More

Sunday night dinner for two. Comfortable bistro in a homey setting. Relaxed atmosphere. Friendly service. While the menu has great seafood options, after a couple of days of eating seafood, we decided to steer clear of it. We started by sharing a chanterelle and duck sausage, which they were kind enough to split for us. For main courses we chose... More

A lovely restaurant with attentive service and excellent food. Dining is in several smaller rooms so that there are only a few tables per area, which makes it easier to carry on a conversation.

I came in for a quiet dinner and great food and that's exactly what I got. Everyone in town mentioned how great the food is so I wanted to taste it for myself. I sat at the bar and asked Andrea to help decide what to order and her selection was fantastic. I started with the trio of foie gras... More
