Wonderful, really friendly service and a creative menu, Fog Island Cafe is my favorite place to eat breakfast or brunch in Nantucket. From the pancakes to the unique egg benedict specials and the gigantic omelets, everything is delicious. In a place where restaurants can be intimidatingly overpriced and fussy, I love the casual atmosphere and friendly staff.

Given that we did not want to have to rush to the ferry we found the Fog Island close to the terminal...and were delighted with the service, food, and prices. It is obviously also a place where locals come for lunch...and maybe for breakfast too. Very friendly atmosphere.

A true taste of small town (not as easy to find as we'd thought), the Fog Island was friendly and comfortable. The menu was varied and filled with enough to please everybody. The waitresses couldn't have made us feel more welcome, the pricing more than fair and the overall experience so good, we didn't want to leave.

I had seen a picture of the food there and since we were in the mood for lunch we decided that this was the place. Great selections, good food and excellent service.

This was the cheapest meal we had on Nantucket and the second best. I had a fish cake sandwich and smoked fish soup, both of which were very good. My wife had breakfast that passed muster as well. Service was prompt and friendly.

Food was excellent! Interior was well laid out but we sat at the bar. Worked out well. Would definitely go back

We stopped in for a quick lunch. We could understand the signs on the doors, advertising that "Soups are back!," because the beer and cheddar soup was great. Ditto the daily special meatloaf sandwich.

I had a vegetarian omelet....chock full of fresh broccoli, mushrooms, peppers and onions. Toast was perfect. My husband had the eggs Benedict....also done perfectly.

Went here twice after trying Black Eyed Susan's on a few local recommendations. This place is far superior and has great huevos rancheros. Friendly service, good coffee and plenty of menu options. Also seems conducive to bringing kids though we were on our own this trip.
