Breakfast to-die-for

Recommended by our b&b and we can see why....everything was absolutely delicious. So good we went back every day! Kudos especially on the blueberry pancakes and the eggs benedict.

In a sea of fancy corporate restaurants designed to be trendy and take your money, Fog Island is a low key, simple, local place with good food. It's not fancy, just a great place to sit in a booth and get a burger, or pancakes, or soup, and have a pint of local beer. It's a refreshing type place that... More

There aren't many places in town offering breakfast and this is one of the better ones. The selection is varied and the service top notch. Food is well prepared but pricey. I know complaining about prices on Nantucket is an oxymoron but it still makes me cringe a bit paying $30 for a breakfast. Prices aside , this place is... More

We ate lunch during the Christmas Stroll weekend at Fog Island Cafe. All the food was fresh and cooked to order. All 5 at our table had something different yet all agreed that it was the best food we had eaten all weekend! The shrimp tacos were excellent and best of all, gluten free! We returned for breakfast and again,... More

We ate breakfast at Fog Island three days in a row...that's how good it was. The service was outstanding...our server remembered our beverage selections after the first day!! Fog Island is a must when travelling to Nantucket.

We have summered in Nantucket forever and have celebrated on island off-season. We consistently lunch here during Stroll weekend or breakfast here with the family in season. The food is always excellent with Mark and staff dependably polite and efficient even during the busiest of times. You can't go wrong, especially with their homemade soups. Lynn P

This is the kind of local place you always want to find in a town away from home. In the off-season (December), it is not crowded, and is convenient for passengers just coming off the ferry from Hyannis. The food is just right for breakfast. The service is casual and friendly. The price is right. Clearly a local favorite, but... More

He always has GREAT soups and plenty of them- all home made from scratch. His dressings are good, lots of variety on the menu. You cannot go wrong. The breakfast is out of this world. Lots of salads on the lunch menu. We live on the island and we frequent this place often!
