Reopening Mothers Day weekend May 8h, 9th, 10th

If you want to feel
as if you have your own private chef, make reservations to dine at The Company of the Cauldron. Located in the heart of Nantucket's Historic District, the abundant charm of this small red building with ivy-covered windows invites you to enter. Inside the doorway massed flowers greet you on the antique bakers rack. Just beyond, tables glow softly, lit only by candles. The kitchen is open and can be seen from the dining room. Classical harp music wafts in the background three evenings of the week. Romantic ambience abounds.

Wonderful dinnee

Best meal we had on the island. Attentive service. Great food. Good wine list. Nice understated restaurant. We had a prix fixe menu for Christmas Stroll starting with a lobster crepe and the main course was tenderloin. Definitely a not to miss. Place.

My sister and brother-in-law (picky diners) highly recommended Company of the Cauldron on India Street. They said they never go to Nantucket without having at least one dinner there. I think we will be putting ourselves in that same category! We loved it there. The dining room is small (38 people, I believe). They post the menu the week before... More

This restaurant offers pre-fix meals only; I thoroughly suggest that you go there - but make reservations. We had the best meal of our entire vacation there. The food was delicious - and the atmosphere was perfect.

Went for Monday lobster 4 ways. Staff was extremely accommodating to prepare my meal without tarragon. Loved the atmosphere and the food was superb.

Have had the pleasure of dining in this restaurant on previous visits to Nantucket and it always delivers high quality food and wine. Well presented , great ambiance . Tables are a little close so you are forced to speak to your neighbours even if you don't want to which is perhaps the real downside of this restaurant. however overall... More

Hands down the best meal I've ever had in Nantucket. Went there this weekend with friends and simply can't say enough about the quality of the food. As far as ambience, some people might call it romantic, I thought it was dark and a little overly cramped. Had I known, I would have requested ahead of time the table by... More

We have been experiencing an excellent dining experience at this small wonderful restaurant for the past 30 years. The fixed menu, which changes daily, has always amazed us and also exceeded our high expectations. Intimate, warm and inviting, with a harpsichord playing, service is perfectly timed to permit reflexion on the exquisitely and tasty four courses. Perhaps pricey, but well... More

Initially, you have to buy into the concept which could be off putting to some: the menu is fixed and you have no choices (except as to wine of course). You can go to the website and see in advance what it will be but think of it as going to a friend's house for dinner (a very good chef... More

I have only eaten here twice but that is enough for me to look elsewhere for dinner. I think this place lives on its reputation and they better look around at the competition. the food is good..but the service is arrogant..the eating area is very small and the pricing is ridiculous compared to what other options you have on the...
