We loved The Centre Street Bistro, the most authentic of all the restaurants we tried in Nantucket. Susan, our server, was personable, kind and knowledgeable and the food was excellent. Romantic and atmospheric.

The restaurant is in an unusual location, at the end of a building with a coffee shop and gift shop at the front. Size wise it is tiny and more coffee shop in style than up market. I'd guess booking essential. The menu is short which I always take to be a good sign as the food should then be... More

The crab cake special was delicious! Served with a fresh corn rice salad & mixed greens. Small inside room with a few tables & beautiful outdoor seating. Service was prompt & friendly.

We thought we'd try the Center St. Bistro. The restaurant is small so make reservations ahead. So glad we did....food was flavorful! I got the special and glad I did. It was a beautiful night to eat outside in the patio area. We brought our own wine and the corking fee was only $2.50. This restaurant was just perfect for... More

Having read the reviews on tripadvisor we decided to try the outdoor area for a group of eight with our super well behaved dog. BYOB was a great option. Stopped at Murray's which closes at 7 on Sundays and brought wine and beer. They have a small cork fee and plenty of glasses. Note there is No separate kids menu... More

Have enjoyed a few wonderful meals here this year. Everything we've had has been scrumptious...from the salmon taco salad, onion soup, seasonal salad, lobster risotto and beef tenderloin. The staff is warm and friendly and the prices are reasonable. This little BYOB spot should not be missed whether for lunch or dinner.

My husband and I booked a table here after having read the great reviews on Tripadvisor. The restaurant is small with both indoor and outdoor seating and is BYOB. There were several specials in addition to the items on the menu from which to choose. My husband enjoyed the beet soup and the fish entree (both specials) while I enjoyed... More

Was surprised that the restaurant is BYOB and we brought two Belle Glos Pinot Noirs that we found at Murray's on Main Street. The hostess was very nice and the food was also nicely prepared classic French Cuisine. Would definitely come back if ever in Nantucket.

Nantucket is filled with excellent, expensive restaurants, and very good ones that are too expensive. My five star rating for this is because it did not try to be something that it is not. What it is is just fine - it is a quaint place tucked away from the crowds on a convenient side street. Our dinner on the... More

We just finished an excellent evening eating out on the street. The smoked salmon potato taco, the lobster on lettuce with balsamic dressing...really the first course. Both were very tasty and I 'd recommend them both, as they are original items. They say that the lobster on lettuce was their special of the night...they also say that it's there just... More
